Rule Suggestion

It's been made a rule in a few forums (I know Webbies for sure) and mods seem to request it... so why not make it an official rule?

Do not reply to threads that should be closed. Just report them, then move on with your browsing.

Just an idea. ^_^

Some of us do get reports for closing and moving. But making a rule against it is not that bad. I do know that I get tire of seeing members say taht this should be closed and all like three times and all. At the same time. So reporting would be okay.

Actually, people shouldn't be allowed to say anything about what the staff should do - like, locking threads and such. It's pretty annoying, somebody posts in your thread saying it should be locked when it's perfectly fine.

Well if you ask me I've clsoed around 11 threads taht were reported the rest i had to eitehr come across when i was checking posts or people would be pming me or posting on that thread. But I like the sound of this new rule.

That's exactly right. It seems like people nowadays are replying to every thread in sight just for the sake of it, even if they have no idea what the poster's talking about, but that's another matter. I feel like the only one who criticises people for this.

Ahemm..I am not Off-Topic. *Sigh* I meant that anyway that thread may be closed so why bother whoever posts. And also if you are referring that members get too many posts due to this, you are taking the post System too Seriously.

People post in it to get post count, as it's obviously been said before.

How many times must a "This topic will be closed." have to be said? None. There's the report button for a reason.

No body follows it anyways, believe me.I try to tell people the same thing, but most are just interested in post count.And jezz JKaizer is there a day where you don't have a idea o.0.

Well, like I said before, anytime somebody sees a thread they don't want open, "This thread will be closed!" It's quite annoying to the thread starter, especially when the thread is perfectly fine.

Wouldn't be such a bad idea I suppose, but not everyone would actually do it I think.
