Okay. For those of you who haven't seen Nando's blog...
I'd be the merry prankster behind that (faked) scan that was making the rounds on SPP, Bulba, and even Pokecommunity.
Late in December, shortly after Christmas, Nando asked me if I wanted to try pulling a massive hoax on Bulbagarden. He gave me some episode titles and descriptions and told me what to do with the page setup, and I quickly put together an alleged "scan" from an Australian magazine. (At the time, neither of us were aware it was called K-Zone, just that some spoilers came out of it a while back that proved mostly true.) I printed said page, took a pic of it with my camera, and added some noise/grain/blur with Photoshop filters to make it look crappy. The pics all came out of Bulbapedia; the background was one of Photoshop CS2's built in gradients, and the font I used was Goudy Old Style.
Nando then posted those scans to 4chan's /a/ board under the name H. Bright, a reference to the Mamma Mia! character Harry Bright, who happens to be Australian. "Harry's" story was that he was shopping and found the magazine, then took the picture on his iPhone of the page. The thread was bumped off in about an hour or so, although Evil Raichu managed to find it and post it to her blog. In the interest of playing along, Nando posted to his blog as well.
Then, as with all great caper stories, came the unexpected twist. In something NEITHER of us expected, Joe picked up Raichu and Nando's blog posts and reported them on SPPf. The SPP goers jumped on it, some of them falling hook, line, and sinker. Bulbagarden met it with a lot more skepticism (as they should have), and Dogasu shut down the thread pretty quickly. We decided to let things just sit for a while and see how they played out. Finally, at 34 pages on SPPf, we decided it was time to come out about this. And so we are.
Honestly, this was completely born out of post-Christmas boredom and a sort of "let's see if we can pull this off" attitude. And from the looks of SPPf, it was a triumph (I'm making a note here, huge success *shot*). We really never expected this to get off the ground like it did, but it did, and needless to say... I'm kinda speechless seeing something *I* made get so much attention, especially because that "scan" I put together REALLY isn't my best work, not by a longshot.
TL;DR:
this was on a lark; we never expected it to get picked up by Joe; and thanks in advance to everyone for being a good sport.
As a bonus, here's the complete "scan" I faked (the original JPG image), as proof.Spoiler:

EDIT: Also, if you're wondering why I'm taking so long to finish The Most Wonderful Time (which should have been finished by, um, Christmas), this is a pretty big reason why.
Wow. This person really isn't great at Photoshop, that doesn't look anything like a magazine.
