4th Gen Rumors: Pokemon cheaters banned from online play

Nightofshadow, i know what you mean. sometimes it just absolutely sucks trying to EV train. i guess that's why Nintendo made items like Protein or Carbos, huh? lol lately, if i do use any cheat device, its to make a certain Pokémon evolve and fill my dex. not everyone has the patience to sit down and train a Pokémon (though i did just the other day, lol).

Well, I had the patience to breed and EV train, and when tournament season swings around, I'll be stomping my way to the top with godly, LEGAL Pokemon, and you won't be let in past the gate. Enjoy. <3

But the shiny one can only be tracked if its obvious, like if most of the shinies with your OT are female, your busted.

I have no hacked pokemon at all, but what if I were to receive one from GTS, as has happend before. Would I be in trouble for having it? What of cloning?

hard to say not knowing. and i never said anything about having hacked Pokémon, Ichida. i was merely talking about using items such as Rare Candies and Proteins. and i never said i used them myself, anyway. IF, and i mean IF, i use Rare Candies, its because i want to fill my dex. nothing more. and just ask ZaChAttAck101, because i trained two of his Pokémon just this past week for him. i guarantee he'll vouch for me.

Thats a pretty arrogant remark for someone you have never played before. Sometimes people should leave their egos at the door.

To everyone else, Trading pokemon on GTS should be banned, I agree but to ban people for having hacked pokemon(or even have the data on the cart to start with because OF a GTS trade) is unfair completely

OK this rumor is incorrect. i have hacked pokemon i battle with on wifi and i haven't had a problem. they aren't hacked as in (as someone earlier mentioned) a Magikarp with dumb moves and stats, but i caught them all with Action Replay and raised them on my own.

I'm probably going to use a cheat device to get Event Pokemon cause I'm not going to any Events...

first off, i completely agree. that was past arrogance. instead of automatically assuming that we all cheat, keep your mouth shut and read what i wrote to begin with, Ichida.

and as for you, Nightofshadow, i agree. its kind of rediculous to completely ban someone from using WiFi for just having hacked Pokémon. instead of that, Nintendo should perhaps put some kind of filter up that will disallow hacked Pokémon.

Yep.... I know people who have done this too so i know the rumor 99% false. Namely myself

LOL!!!! I am with you all the way.

Yeah dude, I hate people like that seriously. Would be even funnier if he lost........ but im not good to begin with.

An edit: You cant really filter something like that fairly I wouldnt think considering that there are ALOT of hacked pokemon out there and even pokemon with max stats would be an issue as a whole. They would be better off leaving it alone due to the fact that they cant really fix it to begin with. Nintendo should also probably also HOST Tournaments where people can get these pokemon because as of right now i have YET to hear of them actually making an event for event pokemon in the USA thus far

yeah, i know what you mean, Night. at one point in time i heard of Nintendo doing the Events all on WiFi instead of having you travel all the way to the Event site, but where they went with that is beyond me. lol

If they did it on wifi, It would be ALOT easier for alot of people.... But im sure there would be a fee

a fee? lol, so your saying they charge you for hacking pokemon?

(PS, nice sig nightofshadows :P)

No im talking about a fee for battling on wifi for the event pokemon

And thanks

i hope they wouldn't charge. they'd be stupid to do that, especially since you can do it from the comfort of your own home. or maybe the fee should be a Bidoof or something. lol

Well, I know what you mean but the point still remains that they have YET to release any kind of information on event pokemon so why shouldnt people hack them in especially when those people probably arent going to go to them anyway. Besides Even if they do stop people from going on wifi, I would think that someone would find away around it ANYWAY.

I would love it if anybody who had hacked their game carts received a ban from online battling and trading. I think it's only fair that someone should be prohibited from using something if they aren't going to play fair.

Woot! Legal Pokemon for all! Let the lazy shameless hackers be judged!

If they were using pokemon with maxed out stats or illegal movesets then yes I agree those ppl should be banned...But those who only pass around non legit Pokemon shouldnt be punished because they are doing other players a service(Helping other players fill their pokedex legitimately without having to spend a single cent on cheat devices or travelling to events to get the rarest ones...)...I can see wanting a legit legendary if you are giving up your best shiny...quite honestly I think that people should use common sense and only trade their super valuable legit shiny legendaries to people that they can trust to not give a worthless hacked pokemon back in return...And cloning isnt hacking nor is it unfair....

LOL @ the word fair. Who is one to tell what is fair and what isnt. I dont think its fair for someone who doesnt have the time to train pokemon to not be able to compete with those who do. I personally have a Fiance, am a programmer (video game programmer, go figure) and alot of other personal life things. I dont have time to sit day after day to train pokemon, So i dont think thats its fair that i have to sit there and do it while people who DO have the time to reaps the benifits of it. (NOT saying they dont deserve it) I am saying this provides an out for those who cannot afford the ammount of time dedicated to it. Sorry you guys dont like that.

As of right now, I have been EV training my pokemon But i dont have the time to dedicate to it anymore, So I will indeed be joining the action replay ranks myself.
