Between last summer and this past one, I have created no less than fourteen evolutions of my favorite Pok?mon, Sableye. Yeah, I'm obsessed.

To save myself the trouble of going on a hyperlink bonanza, I'll just link you guys to the album:

    Here they are.

Review, ask questions about them?do whatever.

    Okay, novel time.

A (Not So)Brief History of the Sablutions
I was doodling around on a piece of paper when a thought struck me; what would Sableye look like if it got ahold of a Thunderstone?

So, when I got home from school that day, I got on AppleWorks and set to work.

The rest is history; after I drew out my creation, which I dubbed Project DarkSpark, I tried making other Stone-based evolutions. Projects IgnusFate through OtherWorld came easily enough.

Project Radiant, however, was a bit of a snag. AppleWorks crashed before I could save the first concept of it, but frankly, the second version looks much better anyway.

After that, about two weeks later I was bored, so I tried to figure what a combination of the six I had created would look like. The result was Project AlcheMist.

After the 'all' concept that was AlcheMist, I put together the metaphorical 'nothing' that was Project SpiritSwap. It works, in essence, like Castform; Using specific moves allows it to transform into certain forms(i.e. Projects DarkSpark through Radiant).

Projects numbered nine through thirteen were, in essence, just fusions of the first six. Eleven, twelve, and thirteen were designed specifically to look insane. Conflicting forces combined typically makes for unstable compounds. Which, if you know anything about chemistry, don't really stay one way for long.

And then we have my newest creation, Project ETHER, my namesake. All it really is is a fully-powered Project SpiritSwap that can switch around the elemental components in its body for different tactics.

I've also made notes for Projects 1-6. I'm PM them to you if you'd like to see them.

Not quite sure what to think of this...interesting...that's for sure...:\

Glad to know you find them?interesting?O_o Anything you'd like to know about them?

    They are very creative, indeed.

Just some of them... Some doesnt fit Sableye.
I always thought that Sableye's Arms and Legs were a big point in the Pok?mon, but all of them are legless... You could make some legs, ne?

But talking overall, very nice. I could never do any better, so Im not complaining or pointing small and stupid errors. You sure has an expanded creativity, and should be doing more "Evolution Researchs" like this. I'll be looking forward to them.

    Thank you! :D

Thing is, the main focus with Sableye is the head, torso, and arms. The legs?kinda unimportant unless you're drawing a regular Sableye doing Mega Kick or some other manner of thing?

What's more, AppleWorks is really not good for drawing bodies(I was lucky to manage to get the arms properly on 1, 2, 3, and 5), and my mouse-oriented freedrawing skills are really not all that good, so PhotoShop's outta the question?

And finally, all of these evolutions are focused more on the Ghost-type aspect.

?But, yeah, I guess I could try drawing some legs. XD

XD Yeah, I've been thinking of making an evo more physical-body oriented?Still working out the details of it, though?See, what I've actually done with Projects 1-6 and 14 is tried fleshing out personalities and stuff for them, and I think this one might prove interesting. I'll post saying the album's been updated when it's done.

I must say this is a very cool and original idea! ^_^ I can definitely see some of those being evolutions for Sableye. It's also nice to see so much work being put into the backstory of these creations! :D My faves would have to be the last two and the pinkish-purple one. :) You've shown great creativity here - nice job! ;)

Thanks! Yeah, obsession kinda helps with the fueling of the craziness that kept me going with the backstory and the like. XD

By 'the last two,' d'you mean number 13 and number 14, or number 2 and number 3? The album's kinda jumbled? If you mean 13+14, those two seem to be everyone's favorites. I dunno why. XD

Progress update on Project #15?SoulLess: Head and torso are pretty much done, but that's the easy part. Figured out a VERY useful trick with the Align: Distribute Space option. The arms and legs might be easier to put together with this trick.

dont realy like saybaleye but those were ok

    Errr?Thanks?Wow, I actually got a medium-good review from a Sableye-dislike-er?

?Though, in the future, could you give a bit more of a review than just 'Its ok'?
