Yeah, I would expect Roxette and Roy to take after their parents with being strong trainers. If you look at my brackets, you can see that it's not too hard to come up with 64 people for a tournament considering there's those throwaway characters like Ash Ketchum (yeah, he's a real throwaway for me) who can fill up spots. You can then replace them with newer, younger characters. And I would expect Sabrina would be able to compete by then as well...
 
0=) Certainly they will be. That doesn't automatically mean that they will be in the tournament, too, though.
XD I don't think the problem for me will be to come up with 64 trainers, but with ONLY 64 trainers. I mean, I have a lot of the old ones from your fic, plus at least 6-10 new ones. ^^
Sabrina will certainly be in the tournament. 0=) I have already planned a special battle just for her...*cough*
 
If you don't use an exact power of 2, then it gets really complicated with "byes" and "play-in games" and stuff only sports fans like me can really get into. I'd suggest just throwing out some of the lowest-rated trainers or have some others retire such as Drake from Hoenn and possibly Agatha.

Sabrina vs. ... Silver? Cynthia? Will? Good possibilities there... I really went through almost all of them in my first story when I had Silver go up against Janine, Gold, Jasmine, Sabrina and Giselle all in rapid succession. Each and every one of those matches had a subplot to it.
 
XD I know that. The first tournament I ever wrote about was a gym leaders' tournament, and back then, the Hoenn league was fresh and new, yet I didn't include it. Why...well, Kanto + Johto = 16, Kanto, Johto + Hoenn = 24/25....doesn't work out. >.<
Or I use 128 trainers...o,o ouch.
I doubt Agatha is still alive then. XD

Hm, hm, partly-right. 0=) I wil not only have the tournament itself, but also mentions of the older tournaments (between your last one and mine), and, well, one of these battles took place (in a first round *ggggg*).
I hope I'll get subplots for my matches, too...could work out, at least with the new trainers. XD
 
First round? How could you have two really strong trainers going at it in the first round? The only one that would possibly make sense would be Sabrina vs. Will... unless you're going back to the way it was designed in the anime to be randomly chosen. I started setting up the tournaments so that the best trainers wouldn't meet until later in the tournament, rather than having most of them taken out right away.
 
*g* Coincidence: 0, CPF:1 You've got it, it's Will vs. Sabrina. I always wanted to see a fair pokemon battle between these two in your fic, too, so I took the chance to write it myself. ^^
I noticed that, and I'll try to work around that myself, but there will be some fun battles in the first round, too. Like the one mentioned above.
 
I guess two of us can play the guessing game... I don't see Will as that great of a trainer, which is why I thought it would be him. Of course he is an Elite, but some of those Elite have pathetically-unbalanced teams that can be wiped out with one good Pokemon. Lorelei and Lance always struck me as the strongest, and I will admit that Will was really tough the first time I faced him, before I got Lugia and then shut him down.
 
*g* Yeah, that's right. Try to guess the plot of Spring's Revenge, though. That is nearly impossible, becuse the authoress herself has no idea how the plot may move on. *g*
Speaking of that...with that battle, I want to challenge myself. I see Will as the stronger trainer, no matter how weak his team is, he is and will always be an Elite trainer in my mind and so, theoretically, stronger than a gym leader. But your Will isn't as strong as Sabrina and so, it's a challenge for me to write this battle because I don't really agree with it. XD
Hm, I can't remember my first battle with him. Second time was pretty easy, though. My main pokemon was an Umbreon. XD
 
Yeah, you have to remember whose Will this is here... and my Will isn't exactly super-strong. Although, his Jynx apparently is something, at least when it goes around kissing. Maybe that will play into his battle with Sabrina...

The images that flooded my mind when I read about the outcome of Lucian's and Will's battle are still scaring me.

She's kinda both..although thats just in the anime. In the games and manga, she's just a teen or adult psychic woman. Although she comes off as a nice woman in the games and the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga, she's unkind in the anime, 'til she meets Haunter, whereas she's a member of Team Rocket in the Pokemon Special manga.

Yeah, Sabrina was sort of split into the doll and her human self. When Haunter got her to laugh, she got "put back together" again.

I usually try to go with the Pokemon the characters have in the games when using them in my fanfics, instead of giving them new ones that could make sense. Sometimes, though, I have to stretch it; I'm always in the need for Flying Pokemon for transportation.
 
^, well, Lugia is always an option? ^.~ (And I just noticed while re-reading...Ash has a doduo, or something? WTF? XD Secondly...Will doesn't have a Kadabra in the game, has he?)

And to stay at least a bit ontopic...Why does the only shipping with Sabrina that is at least partly canon Mangashipping? >< (Electric Tail of Pikachu)...why, of all the guys, Brock? XD

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking with some of those early Pokemon choices. Though I think Ash having a Doduo was because he got rid of his Pidgeot sometime in the anime.

Well, I think it's all because we don't see enough of Sabrina for her to get a canon pairing... but who cares about what's canon anyway?

Well, the writers *could* have used the BF episode, but no...and then, knowing them, they would have screwed up the conflicting theme of Sabrina & romance, I just know it. >> Pairing her with a random filler guy, probably. >.<
 
No, they would have just made Sabrina a boring super-happy woman with no boyfriend. It would have been a real shame to see Sabrina like that. In fact Sabrina and Cynthia would probably be made to be the same person in personality. That's why I'm glad she didn't appear again; the writing was so much better back in the first two seasons.

So you're going to be making fun of my fics as you write this next part? That's great. I won't be able to write as much now that my mom's computer (the computer I've used since mine went down) has spyware on it. Fun. But I'm partially through the next chapter.
 
Yeah, you're probably right. >> I suppose I should even be happy they didn't show her again, yet, the possibility that it could have ended as a good episode is there...

We don't know how Cynthia may turn up in the anime... I hope she gets another appearance. Though that's something for the other club.

Chances are Sabrina won't make any more appearances, but I'm sure Cynthia will make at least two more appearances. Lance made quite a few, evening appearing in the Ruby/Sapphire arc, so hopefully Cynthia will too.
 
Yeah, Sabrina's chances are quite slim, unless they decide to make some special about the old characters. (I won't give up hope until the series ended...or, until my death. XD Maybe one day they'll decide to remake Pokemon and the Kanto series...and I will be there.)

(Cynthia has way more chances to re-appear, but that's something for the other club, isn't it? ^.~)
