I get a similar impression. XD Who is stupid enough to go to a gym someone warns you against? (Answer: Ash. You get 100 points...) Then, when nobody knew or seemed to know about Dark pokemon...
*torn between opinions* I like Dark pokemon, but I hate the fact that they're so strong against psychic types. >> I see that it would be logical for Sabrina to lose against dark types, but I still make her battle Karen in my fanfic...XD
 
I'm sort of glad there are Dark Pokemon, just so there is a real weakness for Sabrina... if she was absolutely all-powerful, she wouldn't be as interesting of a character to write about. That's not to say she and her Pokemon are pretty much more powerful than almost anyone else anyway, of course.
 
Yeah, but even with dark types, I'm sure she can still get around some dark pokemon. Probably teach her pokemon some elemental attacks to inflict damage on dark types. Just so that she's not all too vulnerable against them.
 
*nod*I'm sure her pokemon know some elemental attackes (Thunder punch, fire punch and everything else the Abra line can get comes to mind).
 
I wish there was more good Sabrina fanfiction on the Internet... it's so hard to find any stories that give a signficant focus on her (and not just focus on someone like Ash).
 
XD Give me your email adress and I'll mail you so many fanfic links you'll drown in them. (Seriously, I have found that many fanfics, it can only be a problem to find the actual link....)
 
^.~ Give me a week or so to gather all the links. (I don't have all of them saved, sadly...) Don't woryy, the time's worth it. After five years of searching, I believe I can say I've found enough fanfics for drowning in them. XD
 
Some? XD I'm now at number 58, and that's only ff.net .... (granted, she's not always the main character, but stil...)
 
Wow... I couldn't have imagined there were that many... maybe she's not as forgotten as I thought. I guess she is one of the most remembered gym leaders from Kanto, or anywhere (besides Misty and Brock of course), because there were actually multiple episodes featuring her.
 
113 stories, 43 with Sabrina being the main/almost main character...is that enough? XD I think I'll stop now, but the list isn't finished, that's for sure.
I think that's because most of Kanto is more remembered than anything else. I, for example, can't remember any of the first Jotho gym battles, but all of Kanto's.
 
He, he, he...too much time + using various search engines + knowing sites with much fanwork = the formula. ^^ (+ having a few aces up your sleeve XD)
 
It seems from some of the fanfiction that Koga x Sabrina (Venoshipping) is quite popular... what, did people just run out of other couples for Sabrina and stick her with the old man who already has a daughter? That's one shipping for Sabrina I definitely don't like... she needs someone as intellegent as her, I think, which is why Will is perfect for her.

Yes, I definitely spend too much time thinking about shippings...

They both have that 'mysterious' aura. He's a ninja, she's psychic. They both are quiet, dark, 'evil'...in the manga, both of them are in TR....yeah, you can interprete that the way you want to, but I'm no venoshipper either. Koga's also too old for her, imo. And his way of thinking is not the one she needs, I agree. Too bad we know so little about Will...so good, because we can make him the way we want him to be. 0=)

I don't think so much about shippings...I have a few shippings I really support and some I really hate, but othwise...
 
I originally was going to put Sabrina with Gary in my fanfiction, because of a long-lost fanfiction I read a long time ago with those two together. That was before I read your posts here and realized what a perfect match Will and Sabrina were. I've seen several matches for Sabrina, but none of them really work for me...

-Gary: Too arrogant... Sabrina wouldn't be able to put up with it.

-Ash: Too dense... opposites may attract, but I don't think Sabrina would ever put up with someone too stupid to figure out her father's identity.

-Brock: For one thing, Brock never went crazy over Sabrina, which is kind of puzzling given the fact that I think Sabrina's very attractive. And Sabrina would see right through Brock's looks-first mindset right away.

-James: The only female who could ever put up with James's craziness is Jessie, that's it.

The only other male who could possibly be a good match for Sabrina besides Will (in my mind) is Morty. But I prefer Will being with Sabrina anyway.
 
Sabrina x Gary, hm? Yeah, I've seen that shipping, too. Isn't really my favourite, but it can work, if Gary's personality is played and developed the right way. Which means: No arrogance anymore, just like you said. ^^ But more than that shipping, I've seen Sabrina x Ritchie. As I think of Ritchie as an even worse Ash clone, you better don't ask about my opinion...XD

If Ash ever starts to let his brain work, they might get together, but only then. And well, how big are the chances that Ash suddenly remembers there's something in his head...?

I think Brock was simply too scared to ask her out. Even if he tried it, it would have ended with an unpleasently death...0=) Anyway, I don't think she's interested in a man that gets crazy over any other female human being that walks around within 1 kilometre...

Yeah, James belongs with Jessie, him with any other female just doesn't seem right...

^^ Hehe, the same choice as me. Either Will or Morty (if you already got the fanfic links, try Wars, Myths and the Apocalypse for a cute Sabrina x Morty shipping. They're only background characters, but it's still cute how he starts to call her love in the second chapter...awww...).
 
I first started shipping Sabrina and Gary together back when I thought of my favorite shipping of all, Silver x Jasmine. It was simple enough of a formula for me, to put the most beautiful girl gym leader (in my opinion) with the rival. But while I love the "opposites attract" connection with the two characters in my avatar, neither Sabrina nor Gary would be "in character" if they were in love. Sabrina couldn't be as mysterious and closed, Gary couldn't be as arrogant and loud. Maybe it could work, but there's just something extremely cute about Sabrina and Will telepathically talking to each other.

Now if only there were more of us Psychicshippers...
