Just a hint for team building, if you slip one of these combo's into your team it can help you out of a tough situation. And lower your opponents moral.

    Dugtrio, Aerodactly sacrifice combo

This combo can save your @$$ against almost everything but, Sub/Endure revvers and we don't see to many of those now days anyway.

    Scenario:

Your opponents Raikou has 6 calm minds and has a sub up. Most people would forfiet since that is nearly impossible to stop. Your opponent probably also thinks he's doig pretty hot right now.

Counter it by using the Dugtrio , Aero sacrifice combo. Simply send out aero who is faster than Raikou and bust Raikou's sub up while you get ur @$$ t-bolted. Hence, you just sacrificed your Aero. Next you send out your CB dugtrio who with arena trap forces Raikou to stay in. Dugtrio quakes and Raikou dies and your opponent is like OMG.

Its pretty easy to see that anything fragile with a sub up can be easily taken down using this combo. Also, everthing with a decent amount of defense can also be taken down if they don't have a sub up.

    Salamence, Gyarados sacrifice combo

The main purpose of this combo is to nullify the threat of physical sweepers and then to sweep your self. Special attacker see no threat in this combo but, revvers who screwed up the last set are counterd by this set.

    Scenario:

Jask passing to Wak is a little old but, lets just say it happend and the Ninjask happend to pick up a Swords Dance along the way.
So Marowak has +6 spd and +2 Atk. After lets say your Arcanine was K.O.ed. You send out gyarados. Intimidate cuts Waks attack boost down to +1. Then you switch to salamence whose intimidate slashes Waks attack boost to +0. Wak still has a massive attack and it easily smites your Salamence. Thats the sacrifice part. Then you send out Gyara again it intimidate cuts Waks attack boost down to -1. Waks attack (dude I can rhyme) is literally useless now. This is where Gyara DD's if Wak stays in DD again and proceed to sweep. If he switches to Jolt or something smack it around. You'll turn the tables in the battle easily with this combo.

Remember folks you only want one of these combo's on your team other wise your team will look like. Aero, Duggy, Gyara, Mence, X, Y. Not so hot after all. But, if your spare two slots on your team for one of these mosterous combo's your team will be able to counter the un-counterable.

There we now its edited to say busts Raikou's sub up

Very nice, i like 'em.One more sarcafice combo is blowing up metagross :P

    Oh, cool, nice work Husk.

I've always used sacrificing as a means of getting out of things..

And example is I have Electrode out, and the opponent has a Groudon, since I don't know if they will EQ or FBlast (Some DO FBlast y'know), I'd rather NOT send my next pokemon in to die, which happens to be Exeggutor.

So, Trode gets busted, Eggy comes in Sunny Day + Solar Beam = No more Groudon.

That actually happened the other day.

I use sacrificing quite alot, I never realised until I saw this thread though, I always sacrifice a pokemon so I can get another pokemon in undamaged to start setting up rather than switch and possibly get killed.

Nice work Husk, I've had to kill a Raikou in a similar way ;)

a counter 2 ur aero is raikou having salac berry, so they can just sub after u break their first sub till they salac, and then sweep w/ t-bolt. not saying alot of ppl do it, but thats just an easy way 2 counter aerodactyl, unless they r both the last or first pokemon sent out.

yes speed boosts do tend to mess up just about anything without quick claw

which is why the first combo does not counter revvers because they are faster than you and they will completely destroy you.

    Yeah, destiny bond :P Owns

I don't think Destiny Bond is the kinda sacrifice Husk is talking about.

Sacrificing pokemon is a risky technique if you don't know what other pokemon the opponent has, but it DOES get you out of certain situations, I wish I saved logs of tough battles so I could show you people.

Sorry if I missed something but how is Explosion or Destiny Bond a "combo"? o.0
