    Sailor Moon – Pokémon Challenge

For those born in the 90's and for those who are watching the remake/reading the manga, I'm sure you're familiar with our favorite meatball/dumpling head and her sailor scouts/soldiers. For those who aren't familiar:

Sailor Moon is a shoujo series that popularized the Magical Girl genre and centers around a group of elementary/middle/high/college school females (and token male love interest) saving the world and universe from [Insert Big Bad from every season here] after having been resurrected from a war between the Earth and the Moon prior to the beginning of the actual story. All that history aside [just go on TV Tropes or Wikipedia for all the rest], this challenge will focus on you making a team based on the characters of this show.

    Rules:
    - You may use complete hacks (If it has an E4 and is able to be completed without too many game breaking bugs, it's allowed)
    - I highly recommend playing this on generations 2-6 (including remakes) for the following types/features: steel, dark, fairy, babies, genders
    - For all challengers prior to 6th gen: You may apply the fairy rule to those in the fairy egg group
    - For all challengers playing 6th gen: Please refrain from wonder trades and turn Exp.All off once you start getting Pokémon that fit your team.
    - For all challengers prior to 5th gen: You are allowed to hack in or trade (at a level that matches your team or lower) a Pokémon that may not be available until late. This is for those that have rare types that don't show until very late such as Ice, Dragon, etc.
    - You are allowed to have HM slaves as required for progression purposes
    - Themes for your particular senshi are allowed to be mixed and matched around so long as each Pokémon you cycle through fulfill at least one requirement.

Optional Challenge Rule: Manga-ka loves killing everyone
You are allowed to play this in the style of a nuzlocke...
    - Everyone dies, it's game over.
    - NPCs and Wild fights are not permanent if your team mates faint
    - Deaths during gym leaders, E4, and rival fights are considered permanent.
    - You may not revive your dead team mates, but must instead catch a new team mate to replace them (same species).

    Team:
    Fennekin
    Fletchling
    Zigzagoon
    Butterfree (boxed)
    Pansear
    Skitty
    Flabebe

Restarted my Pokemon X game, giving myself pale skin, platinum hair, and blue eyes. I named myself Usagi and Shauna gave me the nickname ChibiUsa. Shauna and Calem introduced me to the gang and Tierno gave me a female Fenniken which I named VesVes. My journey got underway and I caught the following before challenging Viola: CereCere the Zigzagoon, Rubeus the Fletchling, Dimande the Caterpie (which I promptly evolved into a Butterfree then boxed), and Ruby the Pansear.

I made quick work of Viola and her trainers, CereCere taking over the final battle (with the help of quite a few potions). I made it to Route 4 and caught a Skitty which I named Diana and a Flabebe which I named JunJun. After some training, I made my way to Lumiose...

Just out of curiosity do the Pokémon in a specific route such as Sailor Neptune have to fit multiple criteria such as being both sea lions to name one example and water type or can you use water type Pokémon under Neptune even if they do not end up fitting into the preferred designs/species for that route.

You're allowed to use different species throughout as long as each Pokemon you have on your team fulfills a requirement at some point in the game. So for ex. If you're early in a run of say... Leaf Green (or a 3rd gen game in general), you're allowed to use Squirtle, Magikarp, Goldeen, Tentacool, etc. regardless of if they meet the species requirement but you must eventually end up with a final team that includes Blastoise/Swampert, Gyarados, Seel/Dewgong, Spheal, etc. by the time you reach the E4.

If you're joining this challenge, would you please fill out the Sign Up so I can include you?
