Issue: same quick reply posted twice and they megred together

I was using the quick reply under the 'corrupt a wish [Pokemon Edition]' thread, and the same post showed up twice and was automatically merged like how a double post automatically merges, but I didn't double post, the same post posted twice hence making the same post show up twice because it thought I double posted

in other words, my message showed up twice and an editing message 'your double post was automatically merged' I didn't do that, for some reason it though I typed two posts and merged them, but it was the same post, doubling my message... and I had to go in an manually edit the repeating text out

You pressed the button twice because it was taking too long to load and you were being impatient correct? Then the flood came up (or if it was really slow it didn't) and then you waited and posted again thinking you had just posted 45 seconds ago. It doesn't just do it by itself UNLESS it takes over 45 seconds to load.

No big deal. It's just a common forum fart. Just delete the duplicate and pretend it never happened and we will too.

Nah, the doublepost glitch has been haunting down the forums for months, and it could appear even if you pressed the button only once. Believe me, it happens to me every single time I post outside of the staff forums :\

The only solution is closing the tab right after you press the button (stupid, but it works), or simply going into advanced reply mode.

And anyway, if your post appears duplicated, nobody on their right mind will hold it against you. Just delete it and pretend it never happened.
