Satoshi Tajiri Birthday Thread

Hey all! ^^

In case you didn't know, today (August 28) is Satoshi Tajiris birthday! If you don't know about him, Satoshi Tajiri is the creator of the one and only Pocket Monsters (or Pokemon n.n). He was born in the year 1965. At the age of 16, he founded Game Freak magazine, which eventually became a software company.

As a kid, Satoshi was curious and was facinated with nature and video games. Sometimes, he would take cartriges to see how they work. Though his father wanted him to become a cable repairman, he instead became a software programmer who gave us the game that we all love. His idea of Pokemon came from the idea of having animals with super-natural powers, and a childhood friend. He always liked the idea of monsters that you could keep and love. He gave his name to the main Character of the Pokemon Anime, Ash, or Satoshi as they know him in Japan. He also based Ash on his own personality as a boy.

I don't know that much about him, but he certainly deserves a Birthday Thread as the true Pokemon Master ^_~ Feel free to post anything else you know about him, or just to pay your respects to the person we couldn't live without Guys!

Ah, Jolteon's right! ^_^; Jynx already made a similiar thread in Pokemon General. I'll have to go ahead and lock this one... That was a good post about part of his life, though! *closed*
