I've downloaded the mac version of VBA and there is a folder for save states, but no option to save. Can someone help?

To create a save state while you're playing a rom, hold Shift+F# (depending on which slot you want to save in, F1 through F8) to save in one of the F# slots. Then, when you want to load the save state, open the rom and then use F#, with # being whatever slot you saved it in. If you're using a Mac Book, you'll have to hold Shift+fn+F# to save and fn+F# to load.

    Hope that helps!

On Mac OS X you may be better off with VBA-M. The M doesn't stand for Mac, but still.
