sceptile moveset?

Idk much about Sceptile, but I was thinking this might work..?

Leech Seed
Protect
Detect
Dragon Pulse / Energy Ball

I really hate Focus Blast for its 70% accuracy. =\
Sceptile can basically Leech Seed the opponent and Protect & Detect to slowly kill or just force a switch. Dragon Pulse is mainly for the surprise factor, and Energy Ball is standard.

I have no battle experience, so I'm not so sure about this.

Protect and Detect are the same thing. That's a waste of moves to have them both of a moveset, don't you think?

Yes but you can't use one or the other consecutively so if he would alternate, there would be no chance of flinching.

Unfortunately for you, it'd still be the same Chance. If you protect, and try to detect on turn 2, it's still going to have that 50% chance of failing.
