Why is this guy a special attacker? Look, i get in gen 3 grass type moves were all special. But right now it makes no freaking sense. Leaf Blade is physical but you cant use cuz sceptile is a special attacker. No one will blame nintendo for changing his spatk for his atk why the hell they still let it go? And its such a shame! Look at this physical moveset he could have:

    -Leaf Blade STAB
    -Dragon Claw/Outrage Mega STAB
-Rock Slide covers all weaknesses but poison
    -Earthquake covers poison/Swords Dance

I think it was so he could take advantage of all his STAB moves being special back in the day, but it's weird that he's weaker at physical attacks yet has a very physical-based movepool. Even his Mega can't make use of the secondary Dragon-type well because Sceptile can't learn any Dragon-type moves by level-up (although Dual Chop got added as of ORAS).

It does get Dragon Breath and Dragon Pulse but the problem is the former is learned through breeding and the latter as a Move Tutor move (and also TM in 4th Gen only), and also gets the physical-based Outrage, Dual Chop and Dragon Claw which again require tutors and/or TMs to learn.

But it's not the only case of a Pokemon whose movepool doesn't exactly match well with its best attacking stat. Garbodor's more suited to being a physical attacker while being weak in the special attacking field, yet most of the moves it learns are special-based. In fact, the only physical Poison move it even gets is Gunk Shot which didn't have that good of accuracy although 6th Gen at least buffed the accuracy a bit but still it's not always gonna connect when you need it to.
