So I just got SS a few days ago, and I had been planning a backpacking trip. So I thought, why don't I take my Quilava along with me and gain so precious watts? Well sometime while hiking, my Pokewalker screen got scratched up, probably some mesquite bush. Now it looks crappy and distracting. I feel bad because I just got it and hadn't gotten a chance to put a protective cover on it.

So, my question is, is there any way to polish/buff the plastic cover to get rid of the scratch? If not, can you send the pokewalker into nintendo to get fixed? Can you get replacement? If you can get a replacement, can you transfer over your info (records of steps/watts) to the new one or can they do that if you send it in?

    Any help is much appreciated.

(ps. Mods, figured this would be important enough to make a new thread for since its about repairing damaged pokewalkers)

Well, why won't you connect your Walker to your game, transfer the Watts and THEN ask Nintendo at Nintendo.com? They'll reply within 48 hours, but will update their site when.. I don't know.

Ditto about what Heart's Soul said. It wouldn't be wise to send it into Nintendo before transferring over your stuff, as then you'd lose all of your watts. If you send it in after, then you'll most likely keep all of your watts and courses.

I can hold 6 PokeWalkers at a time, really, if I had enough. Actually, as long as you have the courses unlocked in the game, they'll work on a Walker. Just don't keep Pokemon on them before transferring.

Anyway, I still have hard time trusting Nintendo as I hacked my Wii and I'm not letting them touch it.

Transferring watts is fine, but If i get a new pokewalker, I want the record of how long ago i started and how many steps I've take altogether on there. If I can get a new one, I may just replace the screen on my old one. But yeah I'll give nintendo a ring. But for now, what about getting rid of the scratch on my own? Any ideas?

Hope you paid for the yearly warranty-

Not sure if you can fix the screen though.

I Haven't really used my Pokewalker yet.
If i do, I Leave it in my Pocket. and even when i Drive to school or something, The press of the pedal, and every bump, or the slightest movement gives me steps.
I got like 1000 steps on it driving home from my Grandparents. :S

    Only time i used it.

And well, Yeah, Hopefully you got Warranty. D:

Please use the HG/SS Help Thread for any questions.

As for your screen, I'm not sure if you can get that fixed - depending on how badly damaged it is. However, it's wise you transfer your watts and Pokémon into your game before thinking of contacting and shipping it to Nintendo for repairs. As for all the other records you want to keep, I guess it's when you ask yourself, do I want my PokéWalker fixed or do I want my records (that you can always get back again overtime) more? Other than that, I don't think there is much more to say, but I do hope this answers your question sufficiently enough.
