4th Gen Secret Bases would have been awesome!

    In Ruby and Sapphire, it was so awesome to make your secret base. Much easier to buy stuff and decorate, and you could really have fun with them, especially with friends.

    They have the Underground in D/P, but it's just not as cool. It's quite tedious to grow spheres and then find people to buy stuff off, and bases are always rocky and samy.

    In R/S, you could make it anywhere, you didn't have to go Underground, it was always there in the world. You could make it in trees and bushes, as well. You could put in next to waterfalls or really close to a Town.

    It would have been so cool to be able to do that in P/D, now that we have Wi-Fi. Whenever you add a Friend and battle or mix records online, their secret base appears in your game. Then, you can go there everyday and battle an NPC of them. Plus you get their base design.

    It would have been so awesome. Why didn't they just stick it in the new game?
     
    That and surfing, only two things they messed up with the game transfers. that and I don't agree with egg pokemon coming out as level ones.

    and I agree it should be that way, you have pretty nice ideas.
     
    I agree with you, I liked the secret bases way more than the underground especially in the decorating aspect (not being hinderd by rocks everywere), but I guess they just wanted to try something new.

    Besides, when I'm really bored, I go digging around the underground and find lots of useful items :P. That's pretty much the only aspect of the underground that I like.
     
    I hate the fact that you need to play capture the flag with a friend in order to remove those stupid boulders in your base. There is barely anyone that I know who has this game so it makes it pretty annoying to decorate. D:

    Oh I know what you mean, I've only managed to capture one flag, and that was only after pestering my cousin to just let me take it.
     
    I was actually thinking of turning on both of my DS's and going underground for both my D and P. At least I would have captures the flags in both Bases, and get Spiritomb. LOL.
     
    I like the whole Underground system, but the bases are pretty dissapointing this time around. I long for the good old R/S/E bases. They were too much fun.

    Yeah, I never understood Secret Bases... The only reason for me to go Underground is finding fossiles and rare items. But what the heck, I still spend money and orbs to my Secret Base. =))

    Sorry just 1 quick off-topic post and query, why don't you agree with egg Pokemon coming out as Level 1? Just curious as to why.
     
    It's because it makes hacked Pokemon harder to recognize.
     
    well, level one makes since for an egg since it is a baby and it doesnt have any experience.
    how could it be level 5 with no experience?

    i love R/S/E bases. they were the coolest!
    with the slides and stuff, that was so much fun!

    i think d/p Bases are cool but R/S/E were better. I loved the slide you got after E4 at department.

    Also there a loads of new items: bikes, globe, shelves.
     
    I love the underground. My friends and I have so much fun in it.

    But I have to agree with what's been said about the bases. R/S/E did do it better.
     
    IMO R/S/E did it better because the whole Secret Bases thing was new at that time.

    Yeah, but it's a shame when previous ideas that would have benifited from Wi-Fi and stuff get to be changed. Secret Bases should have been made a new ongoing feature, just like they still have Dark and Steel types. It shouldn't just be a thrown in feature that changes alot.

    But I guess that's the main problem with making new games. What do you keep and what do you change? You have to make sure it isn't too samy. Perhaps they interviewed a load of Japanese Kids that didn't happen to care about Secret Bases.

    I suppose it's good they kept the idea at all, but the Underground doesn't do it justice. It's a cool idea, but it just doesn't appeal to me - plus it doesn't even use Online Play! Why add Wi-Fi and not make the Underground online? It could have become a masive hub for online players, like a giant online Union Room.

    Blegh, i suppose you can't reach full potential with the DS.

    That's called an MMO. It's not right to completely hide the single-player mode of Diamond/Pearl with an all-out "giant Union Room".

    Please help with ... boulders

    Boulders are in my secret base and cannot be removed until I capture a flag.My friend code is 0001 0583 0944 Game:Pokemon Diamond Name:Spyro.Can anyone help me with this?(If it is possible tell me your fc and the time (according to pokecommunity time)that you will be underground.)
