The White House, Eiffel Tower, Great Wall of China. There's a collection of must-see sights and places that everyone knows, but what about less known sights off the beaten path that are more of a local secret? With so many people from all over the world, it would be cool to get a feel for some of the hidden gems scattered all around various cities.

What are some lesser known places or scenes in your area that you would recommend to someone? What about favourite hidden gems of your own? Nothing's sacred, the wilder the better!

Coming from London most people stick to the central parts, so while you're getting your fill of Big Ben/London Eye (lowkey ripoff)/Buckingham Palace you might miss out on some stunning places that can make the city feel like India or an amazonian rainforest:

    Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Temple
    Spoiler:

One of the largest Hindu Temple outside India. It's in London I swear. Hindu ceremonies you can observe take place almost daily, you can stroll around on a few guided tours and both the outside and inside of the grounds offer lots of chances to grab that new scenic picture or snapchat selfie.

    Hampstead Hill Gardens & Pergola
    Spoiler:

Nicely hidden behind a hospital and a few modern houses it looks more like a set from Game of Thrones than a London garden. Sometimes bats fly up here to nest if you're an real animal lover.

    Little Venice
    Spoiler:

Its not as 'hidden' as the above paces but I feel its one of those places you wouldn't expect right in the centre of London. Lots of cafes and pubs to rest at before walking on. You could rent a boat and hire someone to row you all the way down to the London Zoo if you wanted. Accordion tunes optional.

    The Attendant
    Spoiler:

Bringing a whole new twist to the phrase "don't shit where you eat," and featured because I need 1 weird thing in this list. Finally, you can tell your mates you have the best coffee and cake of your life served to you in a toilet with a straight face.

We have a park here, Mill Creek Park, and there is a place called Fellows Riverside Gardens. Two nice places for a view there...

    Spoiler:

and there is a viewpoint from within the park overlooking downtown Youngstown, but I simply can't find a picture of it, so... how about another view from within the park?

    Spoiler:

Tonto National Park. It's this place that has indian ruins, and it's a great place if your into that sort of thing. Plus, there's a long hike up to them as well. If you are into long walks and such, it's a perfect hike for you. :3 I can't rally explain much about it, so if you want more info on it... go here.

There's also Canyon De Chelly (pronounced 'shay' not shelly) that's nice as well. They have jeep tours that go down inside the canyons where you can see the different ruins and stuff.

There's also Tombstone Arizona. It's an authentic western town where Wyatt Earp and company had the infamous shoot out. :3 I've been here twice, and it's actually a pretty nice place if you're into hauntings and paranormal, there's a lot here as well. Ghost Adventures has also been there as well.

There's also Goldfield Ghost Town. It's another authentic western town. This one was around more during the era of mining and such. They have mine tours where you can go down into a real mine and everything. They sometimes have shoot-outs at certain times of the day.

Oh! We also have a Renaissance Festival! I totally forgot. This place is amazing. A lot of them really get into character. There's also jousts. If you ever go, make damn sure you root for Max... otherwise I meant have to come to your house and skin ya alive. :P

I have more, but I think this should do. I'd say the Grand Canyon in this list, but I'm pretty sure anyone from the US has heard of this one. XD Also, these are really in my city, but they ARE in our state. I live in a very small town to be honest. So, there's not much around here to do besides the Ren fair, and that's only here for about two months. I live in Gold Canyon, Arizona... so yeah. Look it up if you want. You may just find something you are into after all. XD

New Orleans. I jus love being there. I know where everything is and it's all in walking distance, it's not crazy expensive and I'm already used to the weather. I just love it and love being there for so many reasons.
