Secrets, Rumours, and Pokegods

It probably doesn't help me at all, but I always press the A button when the Pokeball flashes yellow and every time it shakes. It doesn't always work but it seems to help...in my mind anyway. xD I still do it out of habit.
 
Mew under the truck and Celebi triggers are classic, I also for a while even though I was a bit older believed in the "Minusle from the Plusle and Minun left in the daycare with a Soothe Bell and Macho Brace"... until I took 'ownership' of Minusle and made it my own. :D
 
Well I've seen the Celebi trigger, on the Japanese version where you do some mobile thing that wasn't available in any other country.

One I heard was the G/S/C ball trick where you press up + B when the ball opens and hold A + B when it closes.

I found some pretty weird ones back in the day, like getting Moltres from Lavendar PokeMart in G/S/C. Every Pokemon available in the grass past the fence on Route one which required insane work to get to which is nearly impossible to activate causing making it hard to prove wrong(it was easy to prove wrong since you couldn't get through the Power Plant in 30 seconds and look for a glowing rock, since the game was mono-chromed).

I remember a lot of ones about making the S.S Anne return in R/B/Y.

Surprisingly Pikablu never made it big in NZ, we had more absurd ones going around.
 
omg the celebi on emerald rumor if you get a shiny starter and press l and r wen it evolves

then it turns into celebi im pretty sure it doesent work though but iv heard people say that!
 
I remember me and my friend spent countless hours trying to do this "cheat" on Silver where if you searched ALL the bins in the S.S. Tidal you would find a Master Ball in the one in the captain's room if you searched that one last.

Like what? Pokemon rumours from another country sounds like something fun. :D

There's also in-game data for his team. It's pretty powerful.

The only part of this post that is actually confirmed is that Professor Oak has a powerful team within the coding of the game.
 
that reminds me of a hacked emerald i saw on Youtube. this guy was battling Prof. Birch and the Prof. turned into a shiny Wishcash

Read the Pokemon Special manga. It's written based off the notes for the game, and is officially condoned by Tajiri... If you read the manga, towards the end of the first arc it's revealed that Oak was the previous champion of the league.
 
See what these rumors do to us! Make a bad habit like pushing buttons. Just like smoking. Lol. Yes I was one of those people that believed that if you hold A you would catch the pokemon.

Manga Cannon =/= Game Cannon

Tajiri merely said it was very much like the world he imagined, not a word-by-word Copy.

As I said, the manga is based off the NOTES for the games. The two canons may not be exact, but they'e closest of any iteration in the franchise.
 
I used to thing that we could go to space in RSE. I always put my Gameboy on while charging so the Rocket Count would go up to 100 xP

And Push Buttons while catching a pokemon

And I still do the second one :)
 
In all honesty, I still catch myself holding down the B button when Im trying to catch a pokemon.
I swear it helps. :(
 
another one i heard was if you get rid of all of your pokemon besides charizard then go talk to proffesser oak and he will say something and he will get rid of your charizard and give you a shiny one
