Hello!
My name is Dr. Patrick J. Ewell a researcher at Kenyon College but also an avid gamer. In my research I study the effects of videogames on psychology. I am currently conducting a study on what effects playing mobile games in general may have on personality, mental health and behavior.
My study requires that you be a regular player of mobile games, that you be 18 years of age, have daily access to the internet and have a valid email address that can be checked on a daily basis.
You would begin participation with a brief screening survey that asks what games you play and how much you play them. If you results deem you to be eligible you would be invited to take part in the main study.
This study would require you to fill out a starting survey (approximately 30 minutes) and then a short survey each day (10-15 minutes) for seven days in a row. Finally, we would ask that you fill out a final wrap up survey (30 minutes). The entire study will take 9 consecutive days.
For completing all nine surveys on the appropriate days, you will be rewarded with a 20 dollar Amazon gift card that would be sent to you electronically.
