In some bases,theres a black part that you can't cross,and you can put any thing over it...is tehre any way to get over it?

You need a "Solid Board" decoration item. It's only sold at the Lilycove Rooftop Sale, which happens randomly. Just watch for the ad on the ingame TV. I'll inform you when there will be one.

I just want to add to your reply Yameneko549 that you can only achieve roof top sales after beating the Elite Four. Just check one of the TV's in the game and it will alert you when to check the roof top.

Well, looks like these two beat me to the punch! Good job you two. And they are indeed correct on all accounts. Of course this is generally for the cave secret base. I'm not too sure that they are in the other two types (being the tree and bush bases.)

well well..........doesn't matter. I don't do secret bases anyways. Seems like a waste of time...but then again when do you have the oppertunity to set up a room in the middle of nowhere and no one disturbs it while you aren't around? Makes me wonder sometimes...

Thing is, if you ever mix records with someone, they can meet you at your secret base with the team you had during the mix, allowing them to battle you without being linked.
Not only that, but making your own base is fun now. Emerald has a WHOLE LOT more in terms of decoration than Ru\Sa ever will.

I only did that swap thing once and found it boring...and since you mention emerald, I JUST got it, so I'll try to make a base there and make it as beautiful as humanly possible.

Just wait till you have plenty of BP in the Battle Frontier. You can get stuff from there as well, thought it's mainly the dolls and stuff that you couldn't get in Ru\Sa. Sadly, no Absol doll or Mightyena doll. ;_;
