Thanks, Haldariad ;) TimelessParadox gets Wingull then.

Prodigy, can you VM or PM me once you're done? Thanks.

Dutchesse - Yeah, I'm afraid its full up. I'll let you know if anyone changes their mind.

I honestly would prefer a Slugma/Wingull over Mime Jr. so if you want to swap, feel free.

Sign-ups AWAY!

Name: Robert Julian Ryan (Goes by Jules, Julian or Jude (Jules among his pirate family))

Age: 17

Gender:
Male

Appearance:
Julian is a taller man, roughly 6 feet and he weighs about 215 pounds. He has a decent athletic build, some muscle but combined with an average sleek build. It's the kind of body you develop living on a boat your whole life. His face is kind and friendly, it is soft and tanned as well as the rest of his skin once again another trait u end up picking up on a boat deck. His hair is shorter and comes off his head in jagged way poking up off his head. Usually most of his blond hair is tucked under his black bandanna. His eyes are a dark hazel and he has side burns of decent size going down either side of his cheeks.

Julian has quite the eccentric outfit to say the least. On his head is a black bandanna and on his chest is a white loose fitting T-shirt and around his chest going from his shoulder to his hip is a black leather belt-like contraption with slots for 6 Pokemon balls. He wears a simple pair of dark colored pants that are draped over by his white shirt and have a drawstring holding them on. He wears a simple pair of sneakers for shoes, he felt they were most appropriate. In colder weather he will wear a gray zip-up sweatshirt over his white T-shirt. He is also fitted with silver rings on each hand that have a cubone skull and crossbones on them. Around his waist he wears a piece of clothe going from one hip to the other and draping down his leg on one side. He carries his possessions in a knapsack he carries on his shoulder.

Personality:
Being raised on a ship surrounded by a bunch of thieves and sailors his whole life rubbed off on Julian in a more positive way than would be expected. He has a sense of humor and sarcasm that could only be picked up from being surrounded by a group of "Scurvy Dogs". He isn't a mean person but he has his moments of greed and frustration where he losses the ability to control himself. Luckily though he has a sense of loyalty, I mean... Who says there is no honor among thieves? When Julian wants something he will fight fiercely for it until he finally sees his wishes come to fruition.

History: Julian was born into a family of sailors and merchants and was actually born on a merchant ship. It was though, on this same voyage, that the ship belonging to his family was boarded and both his parents were killed in the confusion of the attack. A young pirate woman by the name of Bonny found baby Julian in his crib in the captains quarters and instead of just leaving him there to rot she adopted him as her own and took him with her onto the pirate ship. She raised him as her own son and taught him everything he would ever need to know about sailing, and a lot he would need to know about stealing... He slowly became a very adept sailor even if he were forced to stay away from the action of the raids.

On his 13th birthday Julian received two gifts that would change his life forever. One was a state of the art laptop requisitioned from a recent raid and the other was his first ever Pokemon ball. Instead of using the Pokemon ball to actually capture a Pokemon, the inquisitive young Julian decided instead that he wanted to know exactly how they worked. He took it apart to its most basic of parts an began studying each and every one of them. He took his search for knowledge online and through pure luck stumbled on a website known simply as, UpGraededForUmz. He flipped through post after post and found out about the revolution of Pokemon ball hacking. He became transfixed and found a family among the community of hackers.

Two years later at the age of 15 Julian committed his first hack-based crime. He borrowed one of Bonny's Pokemon Balls and reprogrammed it so that the Pokemon inside would be branded with the jolly roger of the pirate crew they belonged to. When Bonny found out at first she was, of course angry, but she was amazed at the skill and precision put into his work. She told other members of the crew and slowly as word spread Julian became the on board Pokemon tattoo artist. Soon enough every Pokemon on crew was covered in symbols and jolly rogers giving them a much more fierce appearance.

Another two years passed and Julian was growing frustrated. It was policy on the ship that a crew member must be at least 18 to take part in a raid, Julian was 17 and felt he was more than ready for an assault. He and Bonny would argue for days whether or not it was right for him to fight and Julian finally decided that no matter what Bonny or the Captain said he was going to fight. The next day the ship was attacked by the Navy of the Kanto Region. Julian was preparing to fight when he felt it, a hard object struck him on the back of his head and he fell unconscious to the ground. When he came to he was on a small dingy not to far off from shore. He paddled the boat and took his possessions into the town ahead. He followed his instincts and did the first thing that came to mind, he walked towards the port. there he saw the oh-so familiar pirate ship covered in chains and caution tape.

"Oh crap..." Julian said to himself. He ran towards the towns jail and sure enough several members of the crew were in a cell, one of these members were Bonny. She told him that she had knocked him out before th fight and sent him to shore in a dingy. All the other Pirates were either killed or got the death sentence during the fight. Julian was grateful for the woman who was like a mother to him and immediately tried his best to find out a way to help her. The guard told him that bail was 1,000,000 Dollars for the remaining crew. Julian swore he would return and help Bonny escape. On his way out of the jail he noticed a poster on the wall, it advertised the Pokemon and gave Julian a perfect idea...

"Time for a little gambling I guess!"

HOLYCRAPITSJAX

Er...I mean, sure, I'll reserve you. You get...Togepi! Lucky ;) What gender/nature do you want?

Oh, geez. You managed to randomly choose my least favorite Pokémon -- the one that was described as a paperweight in the anime.

This is going to be freaking epic on so many levels it's going to hurt writing the app. XD

I'll go for a Timid male Togepi. Also, will I be able to choose which special ability it has? Because I'm thinking of making a rather cold character, and there's just something cute and fuzzy about the term "Serene Grace."

Working on the app as we speak!

XD That's the second time in a row I've done that, apparently. Yeah, You can choose your ability if you want. Actually, that can apply to Prodigy's Mime Jr. (Soundproof or Filter) and Katherine's Riolu Steadfast or Inner Focus) as well :D

By the way, Prodigy, I'm still waiting to hear what gender/nature you want for Mime Jr.

I apologise for the delay. I'd like it to be an impish male, please, with the ability Filter.

No problem, thanks ;)

Just as a reminder, can Valentine, Katherine and Cirrus get their Sign ups posted by Midnight tonight please :D

EDIT: Sorry, I'm being an idiot and can't tell the days of the week XD. You still have about 24 hours to get your SUs posted

...So then I went for a completely different idea from my original, but the Timid Togepi with Serene Grace still works. *thumbs up*

Name: Amy Song

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Amy is by no means particularly tall or intimidating. In fact, she's quite the opposite. Small and skinny, she doesn't look like she has any particular form of muscle mass to make her look like anything resembling a fighter. Her pale skin seem more evident of a lack of sunlight than actual heritage, and her round face is often more described as cute than fierce. Moreover, her tea-brown eyes give her more of an innocent appearance, given that they're often wide and occasionally watery (when she wants them to be, at least).

In addition to her natural looks, she gives herself a pixie look through her sense of style. For one, she wears her hair very short, cropped, and dyed a fuchsia-pink. Two sets of earrings (silver studs) dot her ears, and on two of her slender fingers, she wears silver bands. Meanwhile, around her neck is a silver, star-shaped pendant, and her right and left wrists are covered with pink and silver bangles and a yellow watch, respectively. She's often seen wearing a spring green, sleeveless top under a pale yellow, short-sleeved sweatshirt with a white hood. A pair of denim shorts held up by a red belt cover from her waist down to a point halfway down her thighs. To complete the look, she wears a pair of brown boots that come up to her knees, and over her shoulder is a canvas messenger bag. Three fake badges (unofficial copies of the Cascade, Rainbow, and Volcano Badges that she'd picked up in a souvenir shop) are attached to the strap.

Personality: On the surface, Amy appears to be a bubbly and carefree kind of person. She's frequently cheerful and optimistic, although she appears to most people to have a good heart. In other words, she's the kind of person who always seems to have a sunny personality, but she's also very outgoing and eager to talk to people. Then, when she talks to someone, she's usually quick to help them out if they need it. To top it off, in this persona, Amy appears airheaded, impulsive, and downright ditzy, sprinkling her sentences with Valley girl-esque "likes" and "you knows."

Beneath that, she's not only sharp and quick to learn, but she's also pretty much a manipulative brat. Her main goal is not so much to win but to benefit. It's not beneath her to use other people, and she's just the kind of person who would gladly talk an innocent soul into cheating or turning against former allies so long as, in the end, Amy gains from whatever happens. She, of course, doesn't see that she's hurting anyone. It's the game of life for her, and if someone gets screwed over, it happens, right? And it naturally doesn't hurt to build up a list of people who owe her favors just by lending a hand or two.

Her underlying attitude towards using people crosses over into how she treats pokémon as well. Ultimately, she believes that if it benefits pokémon, there's nothing wrong with it. She would naturally never intentionally kill a pokémon she owns (because that would mean she loses a valuable tool to help her win another battle down the road), but she's perfectly fine with modifying the crap out of anything she gets to make it stronger. Unfortunately, although she's a quick learner, she's still very, very new to hacking.

History: The youngest of two children of a computer salesman and a housewife in Celadon City, Amy grew up in a house built on gadgets. Her father would always come home and talk about the latest computers that arrived in the shop, and with employee discounts, he often had the opportunity to bring home a model or two. Moreover, with her father's salary and his love of new technology, everything in the Song household was cutting-edge, from television sets to toasters. Her brother, of course, was thrilled and reveled in playing with any new devices his father brought home. Amy and her mother, however, were more indifferent.

Her mother, for one, was more of a traditionalist who spent most of her time at the Celadon Gym, taking flower-arranging classes. Often, she would insist on bringing Amy along, but it soon became apparent to her that Amy had no interest in participating. In fact, Amy saw her mother's hobbies and her father's gadgets as being boring, and she found herself envying their numerous neighbor children and their toys. Slightly distraught at the revelation that her son had more interest in his father while her daughter had no interest in anyone, Amy's mother tried to share other experiences with the girl: cooking, sewing, art – anything she could try with her daughter. None of them caught Amy's attention long enough to satisfy her mother. Eventually, however, she tried one last activity: shopping. She bought things for her daughter, and for once, Amy took interest. Unlike the things her father brought home – the things that were immediately taken by her brother and tinkered with – these were just for her.

As a result, Amy grew close to her mother, and her mother frequently took her out to shop. Slowly but surely, Amy grew spoiled, and this part of her was only perpetuated when she was old enough to enter school. Accustomed to being pampered by her mother at that point, it was a bit of a shock to her to find herself actually interacting with the children she'd envied earlier in life, ones who didn't seem to care who she was. So, in order to maintain the "good feeling" she got from being treated as a princess, Amy quickly learned how to interact with the other children – how to talk to them and say what they want to hear so they would be more than willing to be her friends.

So, Amy developed into a social butterfly, manipulating people into giving her what she wanted, be it attention or general help. She was always seen traveling in a pack of other children throughout her younger years, all the way up until she turned ten. That year, she noticed something new. Other kids started diverting their attention away from her and to the opportunity to start a pokémon journey. One by one, her "friends" peeled away from her to become trainers, coordinators, almost anything. Of course, at first, Amy felt furious at the fact that something was driving the people she needed away from her. So, she spent the next couple of years at home with her family.

Then, when she was twelve, her father brought home a porygon, a new kind of "gadget" that he'd been able to get from the local Game Corner after a night with associates. At first, Amy tried not to take interest in it, but when her brother took it with more enthusiasm than she'd ever seen from him, she started to wonder what it was about pokémon that got everyone so excited. After all, she couldn't say no to something that might have been trendy. So, the next day, she asked her brother about the porygon and pokémon in general. Thus, he was the one who taught her about pokémon, what they could do, and what most people did with them. When she realized what the Celadon Gym was, that immediately got her attention. Badges, tournaments, money, fame, people following champions around like sheep – all of it made Amy's eyes widen.

Still, she wasn't ready to start out. She wanted to know how pokémon could get stronger. Her brother offered her first the legal ways: training, vitamins, hold items, choosing the right nature, and more and more. Then, only after that, he showed her what he was doing to his porygon.

Amy's brother, apparently, had learned over the years the ins and outs of computers just by tampering with the ones his father brought home and reading about them on the internet. It took him awhile, but he eventually learned how to do more advanced things – namely, hacking pokémon. His porygon was the first guinea pig he experimented with. Its color turned from pink and blue to blue and white at first, but then, he began doing things like changing its natural ability from Download to Trace, teaching it Tri-Attack at a low level without TMs, and, eventually, evolving it without even using a trading machine. Amy was thoroughly impressed by how much he'd shaped that porygon. So impressed that she spent the next couple of years trying to learn how to do it herself.

Although Amy didn't have a pokémon of her own, she spent most of her free time when she was thirteen and fourteen reading about pokémon and hacking on the internet. Her mother took it to mean that Amy was suddenly growing more and more disinterested in her, so once again, the matron of the family started shopping for Amy again. However, this time, Amy asked for only one thing: a pokémon of her own.

The wish troubled her mother, but of course, she couldn't turn down her daughter's request. It took her several months of trying to find the perfect pokémon, but finally, on Amy's fifteenth birthday, her mother presented her with a poké ball. Eagerly, Amy opened it, and at once, she was slightly disappointed.

Her mother had gotten her a female togepi, a pokémon that had no offensive attacks at a low level.

However, Amy did her best to hide her disappointment and thanked her mother with a smile. That night, under the watchful eyes of her brother, she began experimenting. The first one was a complete failure, and its only result was the fact that she accidentally changed her togepi's gender from male to female. This, unfortunately, caused the togepi to transform from a bubbly and talkative pokémon to a withdrawn, shy creature. Noticing the sharp change in personality, Amy's brother advised her not to continue, but Amy, having thought nothing of what she had done (because at least the thing was still alive), tried one other code. This tapped into moves other togepi might have learned from their parents – moves not normally learned by togepi on their own. As a result, however, Togepi got his only remotely offensive move: Present.

At that point, Amy's brother stopped her from doing anything further, having realized Amy wasn't about to give up the computer until she was satisfied with how strong her new togepi was. Irritated by her brother's intervention, Amy decided to pretend (at least) to take his other advice and go on the road. Her brother worried that she was leaving for the wrong reasons (namely, to run her pokémon into the ground by training them to be perfect), and her mother mostly worried that she was losing her baby. Nonetheless, eager to go out there and sample life, the world, and new social circles to dominate, Amy was dead-set in leaving. Only a short while later, with Togepi by her side, she walked out of town and headed for parts as of yet unknown.

Gawd, I'm done. My SU is in the spoiler - I revamped it completely.

EDIT: The post on page 1, if you know what I mean.

Hmm, well, its a little late, but the actual SU is good - its interesting to finally see a character who has a Japanese name because they are Japanese. You are Accepted!

However, I haven't heard signs of a Sign Up from Katherine so sorry, but I have to drop your reservation. The spot will be offered to Dutchesse instead. Some of you have been waiting a while though, so the first chapter should (hopefully) be up soon.

Chapter 1 - Pallet Town
(Reccomended number of posts: 1)
Ok, I'm not going to spend long on this because we all know how it works -you're heading to Professor Oak's lab to get your starter Pokemon (unless, of course, you already have it) as well as your Pokedex and Pokeballs. (NB: to save having inane posts later where you're just buying Pokeballs, I won't bother keeping track of how many you have).

You should look out for one thing, though: Professor Oak is a staunch supporter of the natural way of raising Pokeomn and he might be a little irate if you happen to mention that yours is, or will be, modified.
