4x Yamask (Any set)


4x Cofagrigus (Plasma Freeze) / Ability: Once during your turn (before your attack) you may Knock Out this Pokémon. If you do, put 3 damage counters on your opponent's Pokémon in any way you like.


3x Shaymin EX (Next Destinies) / Attack: 30+ for every prize card your opponent has taken.


and you can have the trainer / amount of energy you want.

While in theory it's lots of fun, in practice this deck gets laid waste to pretty quickly when you're giving up free prizes by knocking Cofagrigus left and right. Shaymin EX is far more useful as a secondary, emergency attacker since its HP is quite low.

Well the whole point is to knock out as many Cofagrigus's as soon as possible with Shaymin out, Put 2 Energy's on Shaymin and with 4 prize cards taken Shaymin is doing 120.

If you get the right hand, Lets say 2 Pokemon Communications, N, and 2 Ultra balls you can get Shaymin and some Cofagrigus out very quick.

You're still one KO of your Shaymin EX from losing. The deck works in casual play because most casual players don't have much experience in countering Shaymin EX, but with more experienced players who know how to counter Shaymin EX, you've basically just handed them the game.

To try to lengthen Shaymin EX's time in play, you'll want to have a full playset (meaning 4 copies) of Eviolite.

You do have a point, also one any Pokemon with Safe Guard... Could destroy this deck

That's not as big of a concern because you could opt to use Cofagrigus to attack them instead, but the real issue is Garbodor and Darkrai in combination, because you can't counter 4 Darkrai EX very easily with the Shaymin/Cofagrigus combo since you have to take out Garbodor to get enough prizes taken and damage done to Darkrai to even finish just one off.

Oh, and with 4 prizes taken Shaymin EX does 150 damage, not 120, since the base damage with no prizes taken is 30, and it's marked with a 30+ instead of a x30 for that base damage, meaning the damage specified in the attack text is added to the base damage if the conditions necessary for that damage to be added to the base damage are met.
