4th Gen Shaymin over Mystery gift?

Guess its time to start cloning my Eigakan Darkrais ^3^

( I know I can't them in game, I use save files and CycloDS silly )
 
A level 100 Regigigas? As an event? A little weird, non?

Intersting move set, though. Hmmm...though Icy Wind might be worth scrapping.

Well, it's Japanese. Sooo...I ain't gettin' it no time soon.

Yeah, and what about England? Nintendo would do a lot better Giving it to most countries in the world than just confining it to certain countries.

Considering the Pokemon birthplace is Japan, then they pratically hate us. It's like 'Oh, no Shaymin for you, America! You have President George Bush!' or something. Can't make any political jokes with England, seeing as I don't live across seas...>.>
 
so... are you saying if Bush is gone, we'll get a Shaymin event? *crosses fingers*
i wish. i understand that japan gets first raps at events, but waiting a full year before it comes to the US? c'mon, have a little leeway! why do they wait a year to release anything here, anyway?

anyways, yea its kinda similar in england, and at least you guys get PCNY events and the odd toys r us event (but massivley delayed), we dont get anything =(

oh well, PC to the rescue :)

Actually, if no one has noticed, the moves are supposed to represent the different types of Regis.
Icy Wind=Regice
Rock Slide=Regirock
Iron Head=Registeel
Crush Grip=Regigigas *signature move*

But i'm more interested in the berries they hold rather than the actual pokemon.
 
I predict there is going to be a massive boom in activity on the trade forum when the event happens. Though the Japanese won't be getting Oak's Letter via Mystery Gift; as the Pokemon comes in a Cherish Ball and will be recieved at Lv. 50, whereas they are caught at Lv. 30. I presume it will work in the same fashion as Darkrai did, in that you recieve Shaymin from the PokéMart guy.

As for the events in England, I agree. They rarely hold events here, and when they do, it is hardly ever accesible for someone who lives in a less reputable area of the country, such as myself. In my opinion, they should hold a UK tour, visiting various cities nationwide, and not just the bigger ones such as London and Birmingham. And as jman617 said, the berries are pretty big news, too. This will be the only place they are available without the use of AR.
 
is there anyone on PC in japan? cuz if there is, they better know how to clone.wait, does this shaymin have a Classic Ribbon on it?

Oh don't worry, the Shaymins will soon find their way here; the Darkrais did just the same. And yes, Shaymin will have a Classic Ribbon, a device implemented by Nintendo which means it cannot be traded on the GTS. And in doing so they inadvertently prevented it from being cloned.
 
i know. people keep telling me that platinum will have shaymin without an event, but i just want all 493 pokes on my diamond in order to get all $35 out of the game. i need shaymin and arceus, and it'd be nice to consolidate all my pokes to one game. (so when platinum comes out i'll have all 493 pokes withen 14 hours of gameplay. HOORAY!)
 
I would have to admit, the Classic Ribbon is complete genius. Prevents trading on the GTS so it doesn't become common and prevention of the cloning glitch. Personally, I really like the Classic Ribbon. It helps keep the value of event pokemon. However, AR hurts both legitimacy and value of event pokemon. But without it, I probably wouldn't have an Eigakan Darkrai, would I?
 
well, thats not completly true. it learns Seed Flare at lv 100, which lowers the foes SP DEF and no other poke can learn it. but yeah, event moves would be cool.

wait. does that mean that would be hacked if we see it here and generally the darkrais the same?

because if it cant be cloned, the only way i know how to clone it is with AR or pokesav.
 
well it cant be GTS cloned because of classic ribbon.

but okay, if AR cloning is allowed here its all good :)
 
I agree that it sucks that we won't be able to get the event for another year.T_T
But if someone could somehow get one before then, I would be more than glad to clone it for you guys, of course it'd be cloned through PokeSav.
 
i wouldnt mind a cloned shaymin, so long as it doesnt screw up my game. i actually have a cloned darkrai, and im happy, so if anyone here ends up getting one, plz say so immediately!
 
You can also Game Save clone. Dump a save file with shaymin to a storage device/PC, trade shaymin out of your game pack, then restore your game save which then restores your shaymin.

AR cloning is FAR faster, and since it's accepted here at PC, that is the way most are cloned, but a Game Save clone can have a very distinct advantage over AR cloning.... if you game save BEFORE you accept your shaymin from the deliveryman, then you will have legit shaymin with different IV/EV and natures.

I did that with manaphy eggs on pokemon ranger so i can have an unlimited supply of legit manaphy eggs of varying natures :)

wow, i can see why that would be helpful. i guess that also means its possible for that to end up having a shiny pokemon?
