Shiny ditto?

Attention all shiny pokemon hunters!
I was thinking about shiny pokemon earlier and I had a brainwave.
If you had a ditto that was a shiny, and because ditto can breed with any pokemon that can breed, in theory you could make any pokemon that can breed a shiney!
Well, thats if its possible to get a shiny ditto.
Perhaps you could trade a cheated shiny ditto onto pokemon ruby or something.
Well, just a thought.

I thought that was the only way id ever make all my pokemon shiny on ruby.
I guess theres no possible way of making the chance of finding a shiney greater?
