2nd Gen Shiny ditto!?

    I've heard many people talkin about a shiny ditto in red or blue..
    well i don't knowe this "glitch"
    could someone give me details to catch this ditto?
     
    Catch a Shiny pokemon (eg: Red Gyarados) and trade it to RBY. Teach it MIMIC, and trade back to GSC.

    Delete all moves BUT mimic. Trade to RBY

    FIght a wild Ditto.

    Mimic. It will Transform.

    Transform. It will Transform.

    Transform again, it will Transform again.

    And to be on the safe side, transform one more time and catch it.

    Trade to GSC and it should be shiny.

    err...... im not all that interested in shiny pokemon....... but it sounds cool anyway. how do people figure out these things, anyway?
     
    Isn't there another Ditto trick as well? By using Transform and Smeargle's Sketch in conjuction you can customize your own Ditto moveset of any selection of moves in the game. Can be done with Mew as well (obviously).

    If the ditto does more than three transforms while you try tocatch it does techeat still work?
     
    For the love of- you shouldn't be posting in threads over a month old, but this one is FOUR YEARS old @_@
