Does anyone know how Shiny pokemon work when bred? Is it possible for the Shiny effect to transfer onto the hatched Pokemon? Maybe it matters if the Shiny Pokemon being bred is male or female.. anyone know anything about it?

Let's see. If you're breeding a normal pair, they have as much chance of the baby being a shiny, as if the baby was a wild Pokemon (around 1 in 8,000). The odds don't improve if either of the parents are shiny either.

Next time, ask a breeding question in the Breeders Corner, it's what it's there for!!
