4th Gen Shiny tyrogue help?(Soul Silver)

    Hey guys, I'm currently playing soul silver and I am looking to get a shiny tyrogue. You get him from the karate king, and my method has just been soft resetting and recieving. It doesn't seem to be working though. I know I should be patient, but I have already dumped about a total of 48-50 hours into this to no avail. Am I doing something wrong? Can I obtain a shiny tyrogue this way?
     
    Yes, you can obtain a shiny Tyrogue by doing that. It's just a matter of luck is all, and a fair bit of patience too if you just happen to not be so lucky with it.
