As per many anime and other shows, characters don't age. Because Ash has never announced he was any older in any episode, he still is, and always will be, 10 years old! (Same with May)

So what if a year has past? Sure, Ash celebrates his anniversary of meeting Pikachu sometime before the third movie, but when you think about it, shouldn't traveling throughout Kanto take much more than a year? Not to mention a good portion of Johto at the time?

We don't know how old anybody else is in the show. Speculate if you must, but everybody is ageless, as far as I'm concerned.

Misty's Song is irrelevant since it's not a Japanese creation.

Well, I wouldn't say irrevelant. Not totally, at least. Like me and a former member discussed, the Japanese creators do keep in touch of all the translations that have been going on around the world for Pokémon, therefore, should the producers decide to, they can, in fact, expand on it.

Of course, it's highly unlikely that they will do so, considering all the times we've whined to them...

Well, some people DO consider Misty's Song irrelevent, but that is up to personal opinion, like alot of things...

As for me, well I don't actually support any ships involving May - although the only May ship I can actually tolerate on some level is Advanceshipping, yep.

Besides, Contestshipping is practically cannon, if not completely. I take it you've never seen the episode where Contestshipping grew even more cannon

However, I'm not saying that any shipping is never gonna happen. Nope. Keep hoping, and one day, it just may come true.

Been awhile since I've posted here, but that trait of Ash is what makes it fun! (According to me. XD) That's why seeing possible hints are nice when they come up. Although, I couldn't care too much for Pokeshippy hints.. Hmm.

XD While we're on the topic of age, I don't see anything particularly wrong if someone in a couple is older than the other. o-oa I mean, some people look for someone else particularly older, or younger, right? And there's been cases where one's about 15-20 years older than the other. It's all on preference.

I never thought Misty was the same age as Ash. I always thought she was older. o-o

Are we debating Orangeshipping vs. Waterflowershipping, or discussing how much older Tracey is? @_@ If we're discussing couples, I'd say Orangeshipping proves to have more hints, since Tracey is always nice and visits Misty in his spare time. Though Waterflowershipping is completely fanon, it'd still be a cute thing to see =3

I personally think that Misty and Ash are ment to be.

Example, in "Gotta Cath Ya Later" Misty said "But how could Ash say that, after all we have been through, doesn't he have any feelings?" (or close to it okay I'm not perfect) and also they just seem better. Tracey and Misty never really seemed close in the Orange Islands, even though in Pokemon the Movie 2000 when Misty said "He's a boy and a freind, but hes not a boyfriend!" Tracey ran up and said "Is she talking about me?" so that might prove that he likes her, also the fact that he visits her a lot, but Pallet Town and Cerulean City arent that far away, so that wouldn't be to hard. In the end, I still think its Ash and Misty, not Tracey.

I'm sure Tracey meant that she was calling HIM a boy and a friend, and not a boyfriend, and secretly s******ing about Ash being her boyfriend or something. You did see how jealous Misty would get when Melody or whatever her name is would come along to flirt with Ash, didn't you?

The idea for May and Drew is not a bad one, even though they've not actually ever been around eachother too much. I'm not too sure about this one, even if a lot of people seem to support this..

Pokeshipping and Advanceshipping should be banned from this thead, they're overrated. >:
