I actually admire these. I like the way she draws the "kids" and their respective Pokemon.

I've seen Pokemon gijinka on 4chan, it doesn't really interest me so I don't have any pictures of them.

Well, I don't mind Ash/Pikachu in the first place, and seeing Pikachu as a human is kind of odd, so I just prefer Pikachu being a Pokemon. I don't think I really mind human/Pokemon relationships anyway as long as they're not romantic, like Ash/Pikachu. It just seems friendly love. But not in those pictures, so I suppose it looks better as a human there

Like we said at some point in time in here, Ash is somewhat of a "wild card" so it makes sense that he gets put in these paring.
Well, I think that artist's choice of what Pikachu looks like as a human is why it's harder to see.
I chose that picture because in the all the other ones....Ash is always crying for some reason and I know not everyone here likes the crying uke.

So to be a bit more general, take a character of your choice that you like. Say they are to be shipped with Mewtwo.
Which would you prefer when imagining them sharing a relationship with said character?

Hey, in my PMD2 manga I shipped a human and a Pokemon. That being the human who turned into a Pokemon, and Grovyle. :D

It's a tough question. I'd say it depends on the person. So if it were Amber and Mewtwo, then as a Pokemon.

That may be your opinion, because in the world they live in, humans are used to seeing them in their Pokemon form, not in their humanoid form. It would be shocking, unexpected, and would gross them out. :P

The Mystery dungeon plots are different from this. We're discussing humanoids in the anime, right? To an extent, seeing Celebi and Grovyle in their *human* forms wouldn't look so bad either.

And yes, I believe (this sounds weird) that shippers will ship anything that moves--ESPECIALLY if it looks like a human! Know what some cute ones would be? *not talking about shipping anymore so don't be weirded out* A picture of James and Growlie as though Growlie were a younger brother, or the same with Jessie and Clefairy (a tubby younger sister?). Or even favorite pokemon that were the opposite gender drawn humanoid might be just cute to see with their trainer (DawnxPiplup? Well we're halfway there with Kenny). Not... not in a gross way...

Haha oh Muk. I used to be indifferent to it, but now I actually like it... I think in an episode I felt bad for a Muk once... And yes, sorry, Nurse Blissey is what I meant!! Good to know we were on the same page though. XP

Yeah like everyone else has said Piplup's a guy. When I picture Piplup as a human he kind of looks like he's wearing a penguin version of that bird costume that one girl gym leader wearings in DP or Sapphire/Ruby-- the white one with wings kinda on the helmet?

I think Piplup was confirmed male the same episode Pikachu was confirmed male and Yanmega female: the upcoming Togepi episode.


On the subject of gijinka, I imagine if Eusine espied a female humanized Suicune, gorgeous to the nines, he'd still pick the regular Suicune over the gijinka. Because he's twisted and stuff.

Otherwise, what you find mostly in fanfic is the kemonomini version (with the trait accessories of the species they come from) and not so much the entire gijinka version you find in lots of art (the clothing, hairstyle/color, and eyecolor being representative of their speicies).
