Soldiers of Shoddy Battle unite in beautiful conflict. May the crowds roar and the earth shake and the skies tremble in wake of our mighty, noble sport. And may it never end. Shoddy Stadium is a haven for those who have abandoned the shackles of tedium, who have tossed an era of training and breeding aside in light of a world of pure competition. Some may perceive Shoddy Stadium to be a sort of tournament, while others could liken it to a league. Neither description is less fitting than the other. In truth, Shoddy Stadium is an eternal contest. Once the Stadium has you, your struggle shall never cease.

Eternal Contest
When a new participant joins Shoddy Stadium, they submit a theme for which they shall receive their very own Shoddy Sigil and become a Shoddy Soldier. This Sigil represents them, in very much the same way that a badge might represent a gym leader. Each time that they are defeated in Shoddy Stadium, the victor shall gain their Sigil. Any Shoddy Soldier may challenge another Shoddy Soldier. When this happens, the two battle under previously agreed terms [if the two cannot agree upon terms, the Shoddy Stadium standard rules described below automatically apply]. Whichever wins may add the loser's Sigil to their collection. However, the loser may issue a rematch challenge after one week has passed [or sooner if the challenged Soldier consents]. If they win the rematch, then they may add their opponent's Sigil to their collection and their opponent must remove their own Sigil from his or her collection. That opponent may then choose to issue their own rematch challenge in the same way, thus perpetuating an eternal contest. Example: Jack, Soldier of Lightning, battles Cindy, Soldier of the Sea, for the first time. Cindy wins. Now Cindy has a Lightning Sigil in her collection. Jack challenges her to a rematch. She decides to accept immediately rather than taking the seven days she could have taken had she wanted a break from Jack. This time Jack wins. Cindy no longer has the Lightning Sigil in her collection, whereas now Jack has a shiny new Sea Sigil. The contest, however, shall contain far more than two participants. In truth, the Stadium has no limit on membership. Whichever Shoddy Soldier possesses the most Sigils at any point in time is considered the Shoddy Sovereign. Holding that title is a difficult task. A record shall be kept of how long any particular member managed to remain the Shoddy Sovereign. In the case that two Soldiers each possess the same number of Sigils, the one who possesses the Sigil of the other shall be Sovereign. If neither of these have faced each other, or if there are more than two Soldiers with equal Sigil collections, a Sovereign simply shall not be declared until there is a definitive answer.

Joining the War
In order to become a Shoddy Soldier and thus participate in Shoddy Stadium, you need only send an application to Timepiece in a Private Message. In this Private Message, please provide your username on the PokeCommunity Shoddy Server, as well as the theme for your Sigil and thus your team. No two participants may possess the same theme, but there are as many themes to choose from as one can imagine. Example: Jack just joined up and wants to make a team based on the move Sandstorm because he loves Rock and Ground type pokemon and Sandstorm is one of his favorite strategies. But it turns out Cindy joined yesterday and already became the Soldier of Sand. Jack applies for the Desert theme instead and he's good to go. Now we have a Soldier of Sand and a Soldier of the Desert. This is fully acceptable. Your Sigil will bear the name of your theme and your team in Shoddy Stadium battles will always be expected to fully match the theme. To avoid future controversy, it is highly recommended that you send a number of objective specifications regarding pokemon in your themed teams in the application message to Timepiece. This way, all of the pokemon you might consider using in a team can be approved right away before a single battle begins. These theme prerequisites will be placed beneath your name in the Soldier list to avoid any confusion in the future. Shoddy Soldiers are free to change their teams frequently in every way, so long as their team is in line with their theme.

Standard Rules
When a Shoddy Soldier challenges another Soldier, they may agree upon every single detail of the battle terms beforehand. However, if the two cannot come to a consensus regarding any rule, it will default to the following: A challenge must be resolved by a two-out-of-three match, Singles, carried out on the PokeCommunity Shoddy Server. No pokemon in the Smogon Uber tier shall be allowed, and the following clauses are in effect: Sleep, Freeze, OHKO, Evasion, Species, Strict Damage, Soul Dew. It is highly wise to save the log of your match, including a discussion of the terms, in case your opponent attempts to start trouble later. Every single feature of a match described in this section, however, is only default and shall take place when two Soldiers do not set terms together. If you and your opponent agree, you may even carry a battle out on a different Shoddy server or outside of Shoddy entirely.

The following is a list of each member. The username listed is for the PokeCommunity forum. Shoddy names may change, so it is a good idea to contact your opponent here beforehand. Beneath this, the prerequisite features of pokemon in their themed teams are laid out in full. The list is updated each day with Sigils each Soldier has gained or lost over the last 24 hours, as well as new Soldiers. If a Soldier no longer wishes to participate or has vanished from PokeCommunity for over 20 days without notice, they will simply be removed from the list until they return.
