Should i play..

So, i've never played a pokemon game in my life. (i know shame, shame on me.) But i've been thinking about trying it out.
Tell me if i would be interested or if it would be worth a buy for me:
I like games where you can take care of things, collect and go on an adventure. Also where you can interact with alot of things. But i dont like battling ALL the time, it gets annoying. I've played games like harvest moon, Neopets, And Sonic the hedghog (Only for the Chao care taking part) So, im questioning if pokemon is right for me?
Please help me with explaining what all you do,etc. Thank you!

Exactly how strong is your aversion to battling? Pokemon games, while chock full of civil sidequests in the more recent games, still focus mainly on the battling aspect to progress and fully beat the game.

I'd recommend it pretty thoroughly though if you like things like Neopets and aren't afraid of battling being necessary for completing the game. XD

Well, it's really up to you to know whether or not to try it. Just look up info and videos on some Pokemon games you're thinking about.

Before I close it, here's my opinion: Pokemon is very different from the games you've listed, but it's easy to get hooked on. I say you should go for it. I'm sure you'll really like it. I recommend Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver. They're pleasant to look at, they're a refreshing blast from the past (they're remakes of the original Gold and Silver), the music's great, and it's an overall fun game. I don't think I've had that much fun playing a Pokemon game. But that's about as much as I can say. You'll have to decide for yourself, I'm afraid. But feel free to ask me any questions you might have. :)
