Should I start a Website...

Should I start a website? I have wanted to start one for awhile now...I need a layout first but after I get that I'll still have alot of work so should I still do it?

And one of the most important facts is, that it has to interest the users!

yea, you have to supply something "unique" to the users that others can't provide... as in, make users go to you first b4 they go to your competitors..

Actually, I too am thinking about starting a website. I have HTML skills, so that's good for me.

However, do I have to pay anything to start a site? Are there any free website hosting providers that anybody can recommend? As of right now... I do not have a single cent on me.

So, what do you all suggest?
