I'm gonna go all out on graphics like the spanish hackers do! should I just wait for MEH?

Hmm. I only wonder how long it will take for MEH to reach a point where it has full functionality, and all major features are implemented.

I believe it will be at least another month, possibly longer. So I suppose it really comes down to your personal preference. Would you rather have a game built using A-Map in the next month or more, or would you rather take your time with planning and wait until MEH is fully functional?

Considering MEH is open source, it's going to be a far superior program. But there's no telling what problems could arise while it's in Alpha, even once it's in Beta. It could be quite a wait.

If it were me, I would use A-Map just so I could get the project moving, then switch to MEH at a later date.

These are my personal opinions and it should be known that I am not a programmer.

That's what I'm doing. While I did previously use A-Map, and still do when I need to use a tool for mapping, MEH is a lot more capable and a lot less bug-prone, not too mention that it's in active development.

...Having said that, as Prixy said, it's not done and we don't know when it will be. For me, it gives me time to organize my ideas and work. But, at the same time, A-Map 1.92 is still a ready and able map editor that is capable and far from broken. I don't see any reason not to start on that and then make the switch when MEH is ready.
