I was thinking about buying a Nintendo DS, and Pokemon Diamond. Is it really worth spending $160??? The game looks like fun, but what is new about the game?

    Thanks in advance

You're asking a Pokemon forum whether it's worth it, of course we're all going to say YES! :P It really is a great game, there are new pokemon, new areas and so many new things to do. It's not all about battling and E4 now, theres more breeding, poffin making, more contests etc :) It's a really amazing game. I dunno about buying the DS just for it though, aren't you interested in any other DS games? There are quite a lot of good ones. Anyway, hope that helps.

Well my sis is planing on buying a DS too. We were gong to picno-or whatever that thing is so we could talk silently. She is getting Nintendogs(Go figure) and I am getting Diamond. I wish there was a way to test the game first.

if you've enjoyed any previous title, you'll love this one.. i'm already on 90 hours.. wow.

Gotta reiterate what Dutch Courage said. If you liked any previous pokemon game, then you'll LOVE this one. It's the same stuff, but more and better and I've spent much more time on this game than any of the others. There are a few things that bug me, like the speed of surfing, but that's all minor stuff.

If you have access to a wifi connection, the game gets a whole lot better. You'll be able to trade pokemon all over the world, and if you want to trade with a specific person somewhere far away, you can do that too. And the coolest thing is you can chat to each other through your DSs while you're trading!

kingofgames157, please don't post irrelevant posts... =P refrain from posting spam and keeping on topic, please.

If it was any other Pokémon game, I'd tell you is an incredible game. Now with Wi-Fi, you can really do something with your hardly trained Pokémon if you don't have or have few friends that play (like me).

I am also the kind of person that justs buy the handhelds for Pokémon games but there are many good games too. I recommend Super Mario 64 DS and Metroid Prime Hunters.
