Should people be able to own firearms for self-protection?

Honestly, none of the anti-gun rhetoric put forth by the Democrats makes any sense at all to me. I agree with the Democrats on a great many things, but gun control is certainly not one of them. There are a few issues like that which prevent me from voting straight party on anything.

Well, that's why I'm an independent, I suppose.
 
Unless the government would take responsiblitly for all our actions/wrongdoings and swear that they will stop all crimes, I would say no.

However, every government in every country won't take that high responsiblitly(?), therefore, I would say yes.
