Should people be punished for crimes they committed in alternate universes?

first of all we don't even know if an Alternative universe exists
and second we don't know if time travel isn't possible i hope not it'd stuff the time line up so bad in the wrong hands :(.

Well, if we assume that infinite alternate realities do exist, then in at least one of those realities, time travel would be possible, as the vast majority of those realities would have physical laws different to our own.

As other members pointed out though, this new law would mean everyone would need to be punished due to the fact that many of our alternate-selves would be criminals.
