Do you think PUSA (Pokemon USA) use the original Japanese Openings and Endings for the T.V showings and the DVD releases?

I personally think even if they didn't do this for the T.V showings (understandable), they should at least have it on the DVDs.

I know PUSA puts a lot of effort into their openings, but the endings end up being a short verion or just a karaoke version of the opening. Even if they just dubbed the original openings, it would be good enough.

I really think they should. Since this is actually an opening I really like >__> When we actually want them to get lazy with the anime (like just sub the opening) they don't. But they sure as hell can get lazy with who's a voice actor, therefore having me worried about Iris's voice.

Not such a bad idea actually, it works well for companys such as Funimation (One peice, soul eater) and Viz media (Naruto).

Im not too keen on keeping the GCI made Best Wishes opening though, it's too icky, they could just use the japanese audio and use some random episode clips?

I would like them too. The Japanese songs are good anyway, but the BW opening credits is just awesome.

I'm not so sure... Don't get my wrong, I love the Japanese openings, but it's seems awkward for them not to dub those for a children's show show like Pokemon. Using the Japanese openings and endings may lead to more people being curious about the show, but it would also look awkward to many people. I think they should simply take the original opening and throw in a new tune. I don't like how they use episode clips.

As for endings, they can just edit the tune and let their credits roll. I have no idea why they refuse to use them. >.>

They should use the Japanese Theme songs but dubbed them into English.

Or, if nothing else, do what 4Kids did with the 4th intro: get OLM to animate one for them, exclusively for America.

I like the OPs, as they are essential. Helps define a season's tone, and they are different from series that use the same OPs, again and again. I like the change of pace.

    I'm worried about Dento's, as well. D:

& I would love for them to use the Japanese openings.

Anything is better than the openings that PUSA makes. Ugh.

Yes, yes, yes! I don't think they have to keep the Japanese tune though. As Kirbychu mentioned earlier it would seem awkward for the children in the US watching the show. Still, keep the Japanese opening with a dubbed tune and it's good to go in my opinion. Also, keep the clips out. They sometimes ruin the surprise of what's to come like Sinnoh League Victor's opening did. :<

I actually like the Best Wishes opening for the Japanese episodes and wouldn't mind having it for the Dub. I know it's different, but it grows on you not long after. The decent opening tune for it helps too, sooo, I guess sometimes it's not the opening scene that makes me favor it alone, BUT an actual good theme song to go with it.

I really like the current opening (Best Wishes) mainly for the lyric, not the animations. And if they dub it the lyrics will be no where near as good as the Japanese one. So I hope they stick with the Japanese Opening (with the Japanese lyrics)

If 4kids did, then PUSA should. Actually 4kids just cut and pasted a lot of the openings. For example the Johto Champions opening (4th) were a mix of the 4 Japanese opening and the 5th. C'mon PUSA! The openings they made were......not what I expected to be. So please, in the future, use what you are given.
