4th Gen should rare pokemon be less valuable?

There are some people who abuse the privlage of AR. Like Ichida said, encounter-hacking isn't quite justified, at least in my mind.

Indeed. I dont use encounter codes because it's not a legit way to get a pokemon.
I only use them as a last resort when all other codes fail.

But with the added part of hackers sending them over gts just makes the problem even worse.

Without hackers they would be worth a great deal more than they currently are!

I very much agree with Ye Olde Smoo he makes agood point when he says about the hackers sending the hacked pokemon either shiny or very rare legendarie!without the hackers we would have much rarer pokemon then we do now!

Well, whether you hacked or not won't ruin my fun. Do as you like. I hate searching for rare pokes, but I love when I unintentionally find them (like my first shiny Wobbufet, which I didn't get to catch. I caught my Oddish, though). If you feel like cheating for it, fine by me.

I hate searching for rare pokemon, too, but PokeRadar makes it much easier for me. It's gratifying, though, when you've been intentionally searching and you finally get payed with a shiny or some other rarity. Unintentional findings, however, are the awesome-est of all. You just feel so lucky, until you accidently kill it. xD

I just think that cheating makes it easier, working for it makes it more satisfying. Either way, I'm happy, I guess.

I'm against cloning too... My frend did it in pokemon Silver and he did it to my Typhlosion lv100 in gold also he had to do that for me because I CAN'T clone (Believe it or not :P) That is sort of why I hate it and also cause it can recreate legends... I HATE cloning...

Oh my go...I hate it when that happens. I find this rare lucky egg Chansey, but kill it before I could use Theif. WHat about when you find that exclusive poke in the Safari game, but lose it after one bait?

That's happened to me Soooooo many times before. That's why I pretty much gave up on Safari....Too many uber-dissapointments, y'know?

I'm personally against cloning, as I do agree that the rarity of Pokémon--shiny, legendary, or just anything someone personally bred/raised--should be kept so each of these pseudo-lifeforms were unique. I don't clone, and I try to make sure that the people I trade with appreciate that fact and don't clone my Pokémon afterwards.

But as things stand, it's too late to stop the act, or to convince the majority to stop. And I can't guarantee that none of the Pokémon I've traded for aren't just clones either, but at the very least, being raised by me makes it a different entity from all of its fellow copies, so I'm okay with that. ^^;

Oh, and I've learned from past versions that killing that very rare Pokémon instead of catching it can feel like a jab to the gut. XD So now I always carry a False Swiper with me, just in case. Sadly, preparing for a rare Pokémon seems to lessen the likelihood of finding one. x_x

Well, I do have a false swiper, but i also have a sleep powderer... Since countless times i've had pokemon self destruct, Recoil, Spite etc. When i use False Swipe. They just die!!!
