Should there be a Pokemon Yellow remake?

I was hoping they would have made it around the time that firered and leafgreen came out but they didn't. But now that Soulsilver and Heartgold have come out (in japan), you have Pokemon following you around like in Pokemon Yellow. So then I got to thinking, they should make a Yellow version remake. So do you think that they should make a Yeloow version remake or is it too late?

No point in it. We've already got Red and Blue made into FireRed and LeafGreen. I really don't feel like going to Kanto again. It's already in every generation, and besides, Pikachu's a dumb nut. I don't want him following me again.

No sorry but no that ship sailed the day we found out that any pokemon could follow you around in hgss that was the major pull of pokemon yellow so now there is no real point sorry but kinda true

I don't think they'll make it. If they would, they would had already done it. But you know what I would like? A game that is *exactly the same* as Pokemon's first season. You know, with all the events and stuff.

That's hard to say. I think that it might become tad repetitive if they re-made it on the NDS or GBA. Now I do think that if they had created a 3D version of yellow on the Wii. It might become something really original. Though I doubt that they would follow through with it.

They might in the next generation as a way to continue the Kanto in every generation trend.

No, we already have Leafgreen and Firered where we can travel in Kanto, and in HG/SS we can go to Kanto again.

I don't think they should since HG/SS had the following Pokemon, but the anime based story line of yellow is cool. They should do that again :p

Think about this. The main feature that set Yellow off from other Generation I games was the Pikachu following you. This is already in HG/SS, but much more flexible, as you can make any Pokemon follow you on a whim. A Yellow remake would be a step backwards, since you would be bound to Pikachu rather than any Pokemon you want.

The other changes include a single bugfix, the inclusion of pathetic battles with Jesse & James, and changing of certain trainer's teams to be more like the anime (resulting in laughable teams like Lt. Surge's lone Raichu). Remakes of third versions are simply not reasonable since the paired remakes of games take important features from the third versions.

Really, there's no need for any more remakes. RSE's graphics are absolutely beautiful as they are, and the only substantial battling overhaul since Generation III was the Physical/Special split. Gamefreak should spend their focus on weaning off the 8-Gym + Evil Team + League + Rival formula that has consumed the Pokemon franchise.

Also, they don't remake what revamps the games prior to it. Red and Blue had Yellow, Gold and Silver had Crystal, Ruby and Sapphire had Emerald, you get the point. No point in remaking what was kind of a remake in its own right, y'know?

Why would they? They already remade Red/Blue/Yellow with FireRed/LeafGreen. I agree with Polizard. The day we knew knew HeartGold/SoulSilver was going to let a Pokemon walk with you that ship sailed away.
