OOC: *Is under a steady bombardment of Feebas Plushies* Meep! Go my Feebas army! Defend my honour! *My boxfull of Feebas leaps forward, fending of the plushies (Random Plushie excluded XD) with Dragonbreath*
Hah! Beat that if you can Yibber! xP
And just to be clear on this Yibber, Amelia is about the same age as Jena really, so she ain't really a lady yet. Come on, she's still a trainee after all...a young one. XD
Oh, and communism...well, let's illustrate it's working principle by comparison;
A devout christian (Not of the book-burning sort) would say 'What's mine is yours', but a devout communist would say 'What's yours is mine.' XD
IC:
{Umm...hello...} the Meowth replied as no less than two Mudkips came to greet him. As Fishy mentioned food, the cat pok?mon's mouth instantly watered, his eyes growing slightly wider. {Yes...} he whispered, looking even more starved than before, {I'm always hungry...but most people just shoo me off when I ask for food.} the Meowth stared at his feet, {Not Amelia, though...} he added, smiling at the trainee, {She is so very nice...gives me all kinds of things to eat when that mean nurse isn't looking...} he shot an accusing glare at Gwendolyn, who was currently engaged in chewing out another trainee about folding napkins the wrong way.
{That's...too bad..} Chupon said solemnly, watching the stray in front of him intently. In comparison to the quite often over-fed Treecko, the Meowth looked even tawnier than otherwise. {But Amelia sounds nice...} he added, smiling at the cat pok?mon {Kind of like Rai, you are very lucky to have such a trainer, I think.}
{Well...she isn't really a trainer...} the Meowth replied, shrugging, {But she is nice...}
Kaika remained silent as the conversation went on, the words of both Ron and Ryne echoing in his mind. They had a point...Rai did treat him a lot better than the master...but still, his master was...well, he was the master...and he had to stay with his master, right? But why didn't his master treat him as nice as all of these other pok?mons' masters treated them? Had he, Kaika, been a bad pok?mon? Or was...was the master a bad master? The fox pok?mon's little brow furrowed in concentration as he tried to solve this dilemma.
"I am challenging the gym as well." Rai commented, absent-mindedly stroking Kaika before noticing the somewhat troubled expression on the trainee's face, "Is there something wrong?" he asked, his brow furrowing slightly.
"Oh...no, of course not." Amelia replied, "It's just that...well, our gym leader..." she cast a nervous glance around the room, "He...isn't really the nicest sort. I've seen the wounds he has left on some of his opponents...but, well, I'm sure you can handle yourselves." she added, attempting to shrug of the matter, "I mean, your pok?mon look well trained." the trainee fell silent again, seeming to once again be very fascinated by her notepad.
"I see..." Rai said slowly, nodding, "Thanks for the tip."
"You're welcome." Amelia muttered in response, still staring at her notepad as she returned to silence once more.At Jena's question however, she couldn't seem to help speaking up again. "You should definitely prepare." she said, "The leader...he's...well, just ruthless really. And I've heard he's got a secret training spot he goes to every day." she shuddered, "I'm not sure what kind of pok?mon he fights, but every day his own come here utterly exhausted, he really keeps drilling them. I-"
"Trainee Amelia!" the familiar voice of nurse Gwendolyn cut through from across the hall, "Are you still taking those orders?! Step on it, girl! We've got other trainers waiting too!"
"I have to go..." Amelia muttered, once again clutching her notepad in a practically panicked manner, "You know..." she added in a lowered voice, "Sometimes I really hate my job..." she cast one last glance at the pok?mon gathered around the table, "You're all...so lucky to be trainers, I wish I could too...but...well, I just don't think little Kuro here is up to it...and, well, truth to be told maybe I'm not really up to it either..." the trainee sighed, "Come on Kuro." she said, gesturing for the Meowth on the table to follow her, "We've got to go. Your orders will be up shortly." she added to the trainers, "Enjoy your stay." with that, Amelia turned around and walked away, Kuro walking timidly in her tracks once more, presenting the group with a fairly good view of his somewhat unusal pink-tipped tail. Before the Meowth left however, he turned around once more, {Goodbye funny fishies.} he said, waving to Cascade and Fishy, {Bye, nice, shiny person and green lizard!} he added to Ron and Chupon before turning around and scampering after Amelia so as to not get separated from the girl.
