"Guy with an Aron?" Amelia repeated, searching through her memories for a moment, "Brown hair? Loud and kind of clumsy guy? Yes, I think he was with those other nice people, and that Maxie girl..." she frowned at the memory of the only group member who had picked on her back when she was taking the orders, "That Maxie person was challenged by this creepy-looking guy with purple hair..." she shuddered a bit at the picture of the boy in her head, particularly the indeferent look in his misty grey eyes, yes, those eyes were perhaps his most disturbing feature, "Anyway, he said that the battle would be held in an arena by the east edge of town." the trainee took a small pause, trying to decide wether to let the girl into her own plans or not and finally deciding on the former, after all, she seemed harmless enough, smiling in a slightly vacant-looking manner that she was, "I was kind of heading that way with Kuro too." she added, nodding at the Meowth in her arms who was still trying to recover from the shock of the whole 'possible-runin-with-Gwendolyn' scenario, peering timidly at Yukari and Miruka and not daring to speak up.

"You can come too if you want, I suppose..." Amelia finished, seeming to adress her feet in the end, "I'm Amelia, by the way." she added, finally remembering her manners and reaching out a hand to the girl in front of her, "What's your name?"

Jena bit her lip,rather shocked that it was a Seviper which chose to reveal itself,and a dangerous looking one at that.

{Meep!}Orjen chose to play safe and joined Cascade and Ryne behind Jena's legs.All three shivering in unison.The Mudkip and Ralts had faced Seviper before,this one however,felt different.Especially to Ryne.

{Grr!!I jus want to join you,iz tha too much to ask for??}Tania frowned,having lost sight of Jena and the rest of the group for quite some tie now.

{I'm lost!!}the Tailow groaned,everywhichway she looked,all were trees.Deciding that she needed a rest,she landed on the ground.Wondering with anybody would pass.That strange girl with the pink bowl on her head,maybe she would pass by,since she wasn't with them.

Miruka then said.. {Yea.. I'll inform Silver..} He then nudged Silver and pointed at the exhausted-looking Tailow..

"Wait here for a moment Amelia.." Silver said to Amelia as she walked towards the Tailow and picked it up.. "You'll be safe with me.." she whispered..

{Hello...} the cat pok?mon muttered, still rather timidly, {Nice to meet you two I suppose.}

Both girl and cat watched in silence as Silver rushed over to a rather winded-looking Tailow on the street, scooping the little bird pok?mon up and telling it not to worry as she walked back towards her.

"Oh, the poor thing looks exhausted." the trainee commented, walking closer to Silver so she could get a proper look at the Tailow, "It doesn't look injured, though. It must still be a young one...they aren't really that great at flying you know, young Tailows..." strangely enough, Amelia's usual timid manner seemed to dissipate when she got into talking about pok?mon, particularly young ones, her words coming out confident and without hesitation. Pok?mon trivia was one of her favourite topics, and one she excelled at.

"Wow a Seviper... those are pretty rare, aren't they?" Zachary asked, staring at the terrifying creature. He had only known bad people to have them too... this certainly wasn't helping his opinion of the boy before them.

{Considerable skill, eh?} Ron said about Ashura's comment, {It looks like it's the kind of pokemon that likes the taste of blood in its mouth. Creepy. Bet'cha its never eaten a smoothie and enjoyed it.}

Luka nodded, {Maybe a Pidgey flavored one.}

Ron blinked, {Did you just make a joke?} He was utterly shocked.

The Zigzagoon shrugged a bit, {Nothing else to do at a time like this.} She was being sincere, considering this was the way she was. Cynical, skeptical, and at times stubborn and rude; but she was also quite lighthearted to her friends. It wouldn't come out much though; not around these fools.

Zachary felt a bit nervous for Maxie, this didn't look too easy or fun. He liked to battle for fun. This battle... looked dangerous. At least they were all together... wait...

"Hey... you know, we did leave Silver at the center... think she'll be able to find us?" he asked aloud, suddenly remembering that he had to apologize to her for his behavior. He had promised himself that he'd talk to her... but when he had gone into their room, she had fallen back asleep and he hadn't wanted to wake her.

"Ah snap." Kayley muttered to herself, keeping her voice down so that the others wouldn't hear. "There goes the neighborhood."

At the sight of the Seviper appearing before them on the battlefield, the many pieces of text she had read on them instantly flooded her mind, the information almost becoming too blended for her to pick out the facts..

She remembered that Seviper were very swift.. Yes.. That Seviper could be very witty.. That all Seviper were in a blood feud with Zan--wait, that wouldn't help..

She quickly shook her thoughts away and just came to the conclusion that a possibly high-level Seviper like this one was very dangerous.

"Be on your toes, Maxie! Give it everything you've got, because that thing's tough!" Kayley shouted over to the girl, then quickly fell silent when fear overtook her again. Suppose this thing was powerful enough to take down every one of them? No, Razz had told her to be optimistic.. Be optimistic..

Meanwhile, Fishy didn't feel like commenting on smoothies at the moment. He was sitting there on Kayley's shoulder, not saying a word.. But for some reason his eyes were very stony, focused on Nigina and watching her every movement with hate evident in not his expression, but only his eyes.

And apparently Razz was the first to notice.

{Dude, would you mind not doing that? You're going to freak someone out, I know it.} She said, not really concerned about the threat that was looming on the battle field.

The Mudkip didn't respond, although his tail did begin swaying back and forth for some reason.

{Suit yourself.} The Ponyta snorted, staying put in her spot near Kayley.

Rai nodded at Zachary's comment, "They sure are." he replied, suddenly remembering one of those countless boring society dinners that mother had forced him to attend, and one of mother's 'bussiness associates', a large, pompous man whose body-build was perhaps closest related to that of Wailmer. He was fond of smoking particularly smelly cigars too, that Rai remembered with vivid clarity, and the only thing he seemed to be more proud of than his expensive cigars was his Seviper breeding facility...'Those little sweethearts are worth their weight in gold' the man had boasted, recieveing a response from Isabel that was nothing short of glacial and involved a very pointed remark about how little Sevipers really tended to weigh. She really hated to listen to other people's boasting, Isabel...

{That it seems to be...} Ashura replied to Ron's comment, continuing to watch Nigina intently, {But it is obvious that this one is good at what it does. Notice the size of its tailblade and fangs? Those are the hallmarks of a grown Seviper, not some two-bit fledgling, yet notice how its scales lack any kind of scarring. I doubt that that pok?mon has ever seen serious injuries in its life.} she purposefully avoided commenting on Luka's joke, deciding that this was not the time for humorous interludes and focusing on tracking Nigina's movements instead.

The Seviper had taken up moving her body back and forth in a slow, rhytmic motion, the patterns on her body moving in a disorienting and dazzling manner as she waited for permission to lunge at her opponent, fangs at the ready. When Kayley called her a 'thing' however, she immediately took up a more aggressive stance, hissing indignantly at the girl.

{Thing?!} she hissed, glaring at Kayley with utter disgust, {The only 'thing' around here is you! You disgusting, hideous, scaleless-}

"Patience, Nigina..." the boy said in a calm voice, "It would not do to attack our audience."

The Seviper coiled back just a bit, but made a point of casting one, last, murderous glare at Kayley before doing so.

"Be careful of the tail." Rai said to Maxie, feeling like he should share any information that could possibly be considered usefull, "The most of a Seviper's toxin is stored in its fangs, but the strongest muscles are in the tail. And I doubt any poison would affect Fang."

The boy on the other side yawned rather explicitly, covering his mouth with his right hand (His left one still carefully concealed) as Maxie still didn't order her pok?mon into the arena to begin the battle. At the mention of Silver, the boy became slightly more attentive, although he still maintained a carefully expressionless face.

"Well, shall we battle or not?" he asked, adressing Maxie, "Nigina has little patience for games of this sort, and I would hate it if she got too...agitated."

"Hopefully she will." Rai replied to Zachary's question, although he wished that the boy would have had the sense to ask it a tad more quietly so that the stranger wouldn't have heard, "There were lots of people in that dining hall. I'm sure many of them heard the whole thing."

If she weren't so full of fear, Kayley would've sighed out of irony. Leave it to her to agitate the killing machine. No, all she could do was stand there and at least try to maintain her fear when it appeared that Nigina was going to come at her, too frozen in place to have run away if that boy hadn't stopped the Seviper. Hey, no one had even asked his name yet..

But she didn't want to ask. It felt like uttering one more word would somehow indirectly insult the Seviper and agitate her further, and she knew very well that one more incident like that meant bye-bye Kayley, nice knowin' ya.

Meanwhile, Fishy dug his paws into Kayley's shoulder as Nigina ranted, beginning to prepare himself for anything, settling down only when the Seviper had done so. His eyes were still unnaturally stony, but aside from Razz, no one seemed to be taking notice.

Even Kayley was too busy being afraid to acknowledge the Mudkip's behaviour.. Too scared to even take part in the small side conversation about Silver.

She just wanted this battle to be over with, already.. She'd rather be facing that weird Gym Leader then watching this battle from the sidelines..

Well,after the 'last' battle in Johto,all seemed quiet for a couple of years.Now,the story was moved away from the Kanto/Johto region,to a place rather far,called the Hoenn Region—

In,what looked like a training ground,surronded by rocks and maybe the remains of a certain building,either that,or I'm seeing things.XD
A figure stared at the Cacnea,Beautifly,Wingull,Volbeat and Duskull assembled infront of him,all preparing to attack.As they lunged at the man however,he quickly released his pokemon from its pokeball,it was moving too fast for....me to see.XD(Probably his Vigoroth),as the five pokemon fainted,the pokemon returned into its pokeball,again as fast as it appeared.

The man revealed himself to be Norman,the new gym leader of Petalburg.Norman smiled as he turned to the camera belonging to the Hoenn TV station,quickly being approached by one of the top reporters,Maryann.The woman was amazed that this was the way the gym leader would train each day,and asked if it was true,that his family was coming over because of his inauguation at the Petalburg gym.Norman nodded,and said that his wife and only son,would be moving to Hoenn all the way from the Johto region that day.

Norman's wife,who was driving the huge truck of a moving company smirked upon seeing her husband on the truck's own T.V(yessh..rich aren't they?!XD),saying that he looked good on the magical,shiney....amazing box of life.*cough*XD

Anyway-
The mother sighed feeling very content,noting that now their whole family could be together.She quickly remembered her son sitting in the back,calling out the name'Ruby'repeatedly,asking the boy to come up to the front to see his father on T.V.Though,she knew that the chances of him wanting to watch were very much slim.

Rather irritated by his mother's continuous shouts,he finally replied,stating that he was busy.Pushing his glasses further up the bridge of his nose,Ruby went back to sewing].

The boy suddenly exclaimed happily,saying that he had finally finished his work.Placing three different hats onto his own pokemon.A Skitty,a Poochyena and a Ralts.
He realised that the the fur of his Poochyena,Nana's left side was longer than the other.Looking like a hawtie *gets brick'd.XD* he grabs a pair of scissors and a comb and carefully cut the fur.

Suddenly,the truck comes to an aburpt halt,causing the boy and his pokemon to fly across the back conpartment of the truck,landing into the boxes carrying all their posessions.

Ruby's mother quickly got out of the truck,a Machomp following closely behind her(don't ask me where he came from...he just..did!XD Either a moving pokemon or Ruby's mother's pokemon).As the Machomp tried to lift the vehicle(obviously to no avail)she knocked against truck,telling her son to get out and help since the truck had been caught in mud.

Ruby immediately refused(as he combed his Skitty's(Coco) fur),saying that the mud would dirty his well-groomed pokemon.As his mother sweatdropped,and the Machomp gave her an encouraging pat on the shoulder,Ruby added that the van was already out of the mud either way.Since he asked his Ralts,Ruru to use Confusion.The Ralts managed to lift the truck out of the pit without much effort,though,she managed to get mud on the Machomp's face.XD
Ruru then proceeded to land the truck on the patch of grass nearby.Ruby opened the cargo door and commented on the beautiful scenery of Hoenn,saying that it was just right for his team.The boy then proceeded to jump on top of the cargo and started to boast about his pokemon as the woman and Machomp run up to the truck.Saying that his team was *reads from book*-
Intelligent.Strong.Adorable.Cool.And,he said the last part with much pride,'Beautiful'.

{Oh.. Okay.. So they went that way? Okay I'll tell Silver..} Miruka told Tania..

Miruka walked up to Silver and pointed the same way Tania had pointed earlier.. Silver stared at Miruka and asked "Umm, trying to tell me that the group went that way??"

Miruka nodded..

"Okay, we'll go that way then.. The Tailow looks like it can't wait to find them.. Amelia, let's go!!" she exclaimed as she began walking towards the direction Miruka had pointed to..

Omigish.. I'm gonna meet Zachary soon.. Yipee!! Silver thought to herself..

"Great... Fang versus a rare, tough, scarless Seviper with a poisonous attitude to match its appearance too. I wish he would have chalenged someone else... this is looking worse by the minute," Zachary said, frowning about the situation. He wanted to have faith in Maxie and Fang, and who really knew how strong Fang was, but this didn't look good.

Ron was a bit annoyed by the Seviper's reaction to Kayley's comment, {Hey! None of us are 'things'! We're all people with hearts and minds and feelings!} Luka raised an eyebrow. She doubted that that boy and his snake pokemon had much of their hearts left. And as for feelings... that much was obvious.

Zachary suddenly realized that he had something heavy in his pocket. "Huh... what's in my pocket?" he mumbled, digging around in it. It felt like a bunch of spare change, coins and such. He suddenly remembered that he had put a lot of change in his pocket before they left. This was in case they came across something that Ron or he wanted to buy. However, when he went to take his hand out of his pocket again, the coins wanted to... follow. A large sum of change fell out of his pocket, and Zachary blinked.

"Whoops... sorry," he said as the coins rolled everywhere, "I'll get 'em." He then scrambled on the ground to retrieve them, after all, he wasn't exactly rich.

'Ugh...,' he thought to himself, 'This wouldn't happen if they made coins square instead of round! Who thought of that idea?!'

{You need help Zack?} Ron asked, trying to hold back laughter, {You know, with the coins?} Zachary shook his head after throwing Ron a joking glare, and continued to search for all of the coins.

Fang's ears swivelled and twitched. Those fangs are nasty... highly developed tail... sense of smell... he little bat evaluated the fearsome snake in front of him, and almost quailed. Almost. He stood his ground, still studying his opponent.
"Our usual strategy won't work, Fang," Maxie told him dully, "Seviper's are posion types. I think..." she counted on her fingers. "Yeah, so two of your moves won't be very effective..."

Fang wasn't listening. He was staring Nigina down. {Let's get this over with.} he said, and ruffled his wings.

"Don't worry," Maxie told Zachary, "Fang can handle himself." She lowered her voice. "If the worst happns and he whites out there's always tomorrow - he's lost beofre, it won't daunt him. Once he gets riled up he's reayd for anything. It's a shame it happens to infrequently..."
Her eyebrows rose ever so slightly as the boy's coins tumbled everywhere.

{Shiiiiiiiiiiiiney!} with a squeak of joy, What-A-Mess threw herself on the coins.

{short, but hey. It's a post.}

As What-A-Mess threw her slimy blob-like body all over Zachary's coins his eyes widened. "Gah! My coins!" he exclaimed, trying to scoop them up quicker so that the pokemon wouldn't get a chance to slime them all up. He threw an amused glance over to Ron, who was now unable to contain his laughter, and burst out with some laughing.

{Would you shut up already!} snapped Luka, {The battle's starting, and you're making us look stupid. Especially with the idiot picking up his pocket's coin collection over there.}

What-A-Mess was evidently enjoying herself, rubbing each coin against her face in a loving manner before dropping it back on the ground.
{I love you... and you.... You're pretty lovable too~!} she sang cheerfully, unknowingly deposited a good portion of her face on the sterling.

She picked a few pennies up and threw them randomly into the air. A few wedged themselves in Messy herself, a few fell on the floor, and one hit Luka on the head. What-A-Mess seemed not to notice.

"Uh Luka look ou--!" Zachary tried to call in time, but it was too late, and the coin had whacked her on the head already.

{Oof!} Luka grunted, then twirled around to glare at the slimy pokemon that she knew had done it, {You did that on purpose didn't you?!} She bared her teeth a bit. Ron just laughed even louder.

"L-Luka, come on now... cut it out, she didn't mean it," Zachary said, still frantically racing to get the still clean coins back.

{Yeah right!} Luka said bitterly, still baring her teeth.
 
OOC: Ignored? o.O Plushie, I was up almost until midnight yesterday, checked my PM box as my last action before leaving and found no new PMs. How could I have ignored something which I didn't find until when I came home from school today? xP

Incidentally, I hate icy pavements with a passion. I just slipped on one today and of course I didn't have my gloves on, so now my whole left palm is riddled with tiny rips and tears, same goes for the right side of my hip, and I had to skip Jujitsu practice. >.< Tis' not the best of days, that's for sure...but your summaries are very enjoyable to read nonetheless Yibber, keep up the good work. ^-^ And that piccie with the Machamp giving Ruby's mum a supportive pat on the back...ahh, it's just priceless. Love that compassionate expression. XD

{With pleasure...} Nigina hissed at Fang's challenge, placing a very strong emphasis on the 'pleasure' part as she coiled up, ready to lunge as soon as her opponent got within range.

The still anonymous stranger merely lifted an eyebrow as the coins from Zachary's pocket fell out, rolling in all directions, a good amount of them soon ending up with Messa who immediately started playing with them. Was that boy trying to pull some kind of clever ruse? No-one could be that clumsy, could they? But what did it matter? Nigina alone was quite capable of dealing with these little upstarts, and of course he always had Seirini for backup. The boy absent-mindedly reached for the tarnished old pok?ball on his belt with his right hand. Yes, Seirini...the only one who would not betray him, the one who had always been there. But it would not do to dirty her with this kind of work, the boy concluded, not as long as there was a suitable replacement...

"This is all very amusing..." he said at last, in his usual calm voice, "But are we going to battle or not? We don't have all day, you know."

"Hey, wait up!" Amelia called in a slight huff as Silver proceeded to dash off in the direction the Tailow had pointed her to. The trainee picked up the pace as well, holding onto Kuro, who was still feeling very disgruntled about the way Yukari and Miruka had ignored him and was sulking in silence, as she did her best to catch up with the girl in front of her.

{They could at least have replied...} the Meowth muttered for himself, folding his arms defensively as the world passed around him with quite considerable speed.

Decided to make one for myself considering Alter up there's been so keen on them lately too. I made the backgrounds for the pokemon all myself. ^-^ And I also did the grassy background of the card myself too. So, what'cha think?
