OOC: Yeah, if you love to see a Zubat get massacred then it would be a blast...putting Ashura against Fang right now would have...ugly results. @_@
And congrats on the 1/2 Japanese final results Melissa! Both to yours and your brother's. ^^
Anyways, time to add a bit more action...makes for a nice debut for a certain new character of mine too. One who shall make a real appearance...later...
Oh, and Yibber...I would appreciate it if you called Azure town by its correct name even once. This far I believe I have seen Azura Town (In your last post), Azur Town, Ashura Town, Asura Town, but not once Azure Town, and it's really driving my poor sticklerish mind over the edge.

"Hmm?" Rai, who had just deposited his own plate and cuttlery on the trolley, looked up at Zachary's question, perking up his ears "I'm...not sure..." he confessed, "If there is any buzzing there then it's very faint. What do you think, Ashu?" he turned his gaze down to the Scyther who was already focusing on the sound, her eyes shut in concentration.
{It is definitely a buzz of some sort.} the Scyther replied, nodding, {Judging by the weakness of it, it is probably coming from somewhere outside of this building.} she frowned, {It may be a spy...we should keep our guard up.}
Rai shook his head, lowering his voice just a bit, "Don't be silly Ashu..." he whispered, "Who would want to spy on us?"
I could name a few... the Scyther thought indignantly, but maintained her silence, not wanting to ruin her credibility with Rai by trying to point the finger of blame on Maxie and Fang with the little evidence she had at her disposal.
"That's what I thought..." Rai said, taking the mantis pok?mon's silence as a sign of forfeit "You've really got to stop thinking so negatively about everything."

Meanwhile, a rather distinct figure strolled casually in through the entrance of the Azure Town pok?mon center. He was a fairly slim male, apparently in his late teens, maybe seventeen or so, with dark purple hair that seemed seemed to hang just a little bit over the right one of his two misty grey eyes. There was nothing downright unpleasant about the boy, and despite his slightly pale skin pigment he was fairly good looking, not handsome by any means, but not really beaten-with-a-stick ugly either, and yet there was something about him that caused most people to draw back from him instinctively, usually without even understanding why. Perhaps it was his clothing; a simple black shirt with the words 'Life is short, bite hard' written in red lettering on the front and a fairly nondescript grey jacket, its sleeves long enough to cover his hands from view when they were down, on top, accompanied by a simple chain of metal beads which the boy wore about his neck like an accessory and a pair of very dark blue, almost black, jeans that almost covered the heavy looking black boots beneath, as well as the grey belt that held them up. On the belt, no less than four pok?balls were located on small clips. The first, located furthest to the right, was a fairly worn standard duty one, standing in stark contrast to the one on its left, a particularly shiny and carefully cleaned Luxury ball which almost seemed to glitter in the light of the pok?mon center. The remaining two were perhaps the most unusual of them, both of them black in colour with a poison green 'V' imprinted just above the hatch. To anyone knowledgable in such things, it would have been obvious that those two were empty at the moment, allthough if their owner would have any say in it they wouldn't remain that way for long.
"Only two more." he said for himself as he made his way towards the dining hall, his grey eyes scanning the trainers and pok?mon within in search for suitable candidates. Poison and ghost, that had been the order, and according to that weak and gibbering little trainer he had met and the pathetic little Pidgey that had accompanied the boy, some girl here was now in possession of a rather notorious Ghastly...one which had proven quite the inconvenience for travelers in Azure Forest and one whom the boss would undoubtedly be pleased to accept...who knew, perhaps it would even serve to replace two ordinary ones?
Much to the boy's displeasure, there was no Ghastly in sight however, although the girl who had captured it could not have gone far, not with the terrible weather conditions that had prevailed during the preceeding night. She was somewhere there, and if he crossed paths with her he would be sure to take the ghost pok?mon into his possession, if only so he could finally leave this forsaken backwater town. And if he didn't...well, it was no skin of his nose, just as long as he found other ghost and poison types to replace it. Pok?mon such as...Zubat. He cast a glance at the little bat pok?mon accompanying a small group of trainers who looked like they were about to leave. It sure was a tawny one, but a poison type all the same, and the boss had only specified quantity and type, not power level. That was the concern of whoever would actually recieve and train that pok?mon, not him.
"I'm not so sure that would be a good idea..." Rai said, oblivious to the approaching boy's presence, "I mean, I would rather not have Ashu and Fang fighting each other...not even sure if I'd like her to fight What-a-mess either, she might get out of hand. And Chupon...he's got a type disadvantage against both of them, so it wouldn't even be a fair fight. Pitting him against a Grimer...it would just be irresponsible of me. Maybe we should try to find someone else to battle?"
Ashura hissed iritably, Out of hand? she thought for herself, frowning, As if she would ever...
{Yeah, I agree with that!} Chupon squeaked, {Besides, it's not good to fight on a full stomach.}
{You're always on a full stomach.} Ashura muttered, casting a dissaproving glance at the rounded belly of the Treecko.
{Hey, I'm still in a growing age! I gots to eat!} Chupon retorted.
{Oh, you're growing allright...} the mantis pok?mon replied, {The problem is you're growing in the wrong direction.}
"Okay, that's enough you two." Rai said, deciding to cut into the argument before it got out of hand, "We'll just need to find some other opponents and that's the end of-"
"Excuse me..." came a voice startlingly close to Rai, the boy turning around to spot the male who had entered before, immediately feeling a chill run down his spine, a sensation quite similar to what he felt when he was alone with mother.
"I couldn't help overhearing that you were looking for a battle partner, miss." the boy continued, adressing Maxie and taking no notice of Rai's little cringe, "Nigina and I would be glad to take the challenge. If you're interested..."
OOC: Just so you lot know, the stranger ain't Slythie, not even a younger version of him. But Nigina...well, it's the same Nigina, I've got a plan for the battle thingie. :bandit:
