I took the blade solemnly and opened my own flesh with it, sealing the deal. Handing it back to him, I smiled. "Thank you, Prince. Thank you very much."

I hissed as I dragged the healer in, but I sighed once I saw that it seemed to be okay, aside from the two looking like they had a lover's spat with a dagger. "It appears that my attempt to help was futile." I said, letting go of the healer's arm...

I smiled at the blue mage. "No, that isn't true in the slightest. Thank you for bringing the healer. Perhaps she can do something for the pain," I whispered slowly, unused to accepting help with my problem.

I nodded, saying, "She is very accomplished, I promise you." I held up a long loaf of bread and gestured to the three of them, asking, "Food?" I was only later aware of how entirely ridiculous I must have looked, brandishing the loaf like a sword at my companions.

I laughed and let the healer guide me back to my chair. She crushed a few herbs into my drink. I sipped at the bitter liquid, listening to her inform me that I would sleep like a rock for at least nine hours, and thus, needed to give myself ample time to sleep. I nodded my understanding and looked to the Prince.

"I wouldn't say no to something hot. It's been a long time traveling on nothing but dried meat, dried fruit, and flatbread."

I nodded and pushed a light soup to her, not wanting to add any unecessary upsets to her currently poor condition. I said, "Try this. It's a little spicy, but then again, there's nothing in my land's cuisine that isn't."

I ate the soup quietly, an air of grace enveloping me. I tended to be graceful while I sat. It made up for my odd gait while walking. I did my best to ignore the concern floating around me. I hated feeling weak, and I hated it when people felt me weak even more.

I looked to the Blue Mage and Prince Baelor. My eyes were hard as I spoke. "So the pair of you are both aware, my disability does not make me weak. Nor does sending me make the Red Mage's Academy weak. I am the best they have to offer with good reason. I show magical prowess above and beyond any of my professors. My disability does not make me any weaker than either of you."

I sighed and continued with a little more compassion. "The last thing I want is for you two to spend your time watching over me. I can take care of myself. Lapses like that are few and far between."

I nodded slowly, suddenly feeling a wave of caution from the blue magic unlike anyhting else. It rarely communicated at all with magfes directly, and speech was almost unheard of, so the lack of words didn't bother me. "Of course, of course..." I said calmly, resuming my seat. "I am well aware that it does not reflect on your ability." I said, sitting down, breathing deeply now that I could relax. I loved my food potent enough to bite back, as some said... "As for myself, I am not the most experienced mage, nor on the list of the most potent, but the blue magic itself communes with me far more, and allows me a greater insight into most things." I said, breaking off as I thought. I personally disliked this stuffy court mannerism, but hopefully, we'd be on the road soon... "However, insight is no good without complete knowledge. If you wouldn't mind discussing over dinner, could you please reliterate what is known to be true, my Lord?"
