Why don't people use shuckle???It has awesome defense and sp.defense.What is the reason why people wont use him.It would be really good for it to learn cosmic power but it cant.Im thinking of ev training one but dont know what to do with it.What would you recommend??Because i have NO idea on what to do with it.

I'm not too big a fan of him... sure his defenses are phenominal, but his lack of HP, other stats, as well as much of an impressive moveset make him fall short in my eyes.

I believe it's just that Toxic will leave a mark on it bad enough that not even Leftovers can save it. Its HP is also quite pitiful.

I OHKO'd one with a Swords Danced Crabhammer from Kingler. Can't stand up to boosted STAB attacks all that well.

Yes, Shuckle has the highest base defenses in the game. However, his other stats are abominably terrible, making it a huge tradeoff. His nonexistant Attack stat limits him from doing much of anything without a lot of team support. Unless you can miraculously pull of a Power Trick, he's no threat to an enemy, and even then, he'll be dead by the next turn.

Why don't people use Shuckle? Because experienced players know good and well that Gyarados, Heracross, Ursaring, and namely anything with Taunt can easily piss on it.

No meaning to sound vulgar, but I'm being honest.

And his LOW LOW LOW LOW LOW Attack and SpAtk, meaning he can pretty much do nothing to an opponent.

Toxic? Pfft, the enemy can just switch out. Like, into a Gyarados, a Starmie, or anything with Surf or Waterfall. Plus, that would be really boring, for both you and the enemy.

Using Toxic is just begging for someone with Ursaring (which can abuse both Guts AND Quick Feet Perfectly), or Heracross to come in and start a parade.
