    Well, I've decided that when I get finished with certain parts of my cartoon, or even just bits of art, I'd run them by you guys for input. :) I may or may not use whatever criticism you run by me, but that won't make it any less welcome. I want to improve all the time, so healthy criticism is a must.

    Anyway, this thread is going to be devoted to my art, the majority of which will consist of art from my remake of the sprite comic I did. (See the Sprite Comic forum for details, if you're curious) I decided to remake it with all-original drawings, and better animation. So as I get parts of it finished, I'll post some of it here. That way I can get feedback during its production. All right then! Let's see the first pic!

    This is the first image of Ash and Pikachu that you'll see in my cartoon. Although this is the third Pikachu drawing I've done, I think it turned out well. And Ash is definitely harder to draw than I expected. ^^; I'd never drawn him before, and it shows in my picture. Please be honest, but try to be nice about it, lol. There are tons of flaws too, so try to pick out only the ones that really bug you. :P If we focus on every little thing, this thread would be huge before I got to post a second pic!
     
    I think it came out great XD ash's expression is so funny but make his hat a little shorter it looks to tall to me thats all i see wrong

    ash's expression = pricless XD
    pikachu's expression = LOL

    can't wait to see how this will come out ^^

    Yeah, I don't watch the Anime much, so Pikachu looks like he does because o' that. :P As far as Ash is concerned, though, I did his skin like that for two reasons: One, he's farther from the light source than Pikachu, so the shadows should be more accentuated. And two, I think he looks more dramatic with those colors, which makes him dorkier. ^_^ Don't get me wrong; I have nothing against Ash. I'm just trying to be funny. ^^;

    Though i don't see dork in that pic.

    Thank you! I intend to, even if it isn't ALL Pokemon, lol. This sort of thing is actually what I'm using for practice. I've some wicked ideas for longer, more involved flash animations, but I don't dare tackle them until I get comfortable with animating simple things first. ;)

    Yeah. :P I've made some good headway on it, too. Here are a few things you can expect in my new cartoon:

    *Actual animation (The animation of Pikachu lunging at the screen doesn't count. ;) That was just a quick Pika drawing I did that I made fly across the screen, lol).
    *Actual mouth movements with the voices.
    *A voice for Ash, as well as one for the translator (Both mine, which means Ash is REALLY going to sound dorky, lol!)
    *Subtitles (because it may be hard to understand what I'm saying X3)
    *A preloader screen, and a replay button at the end
    *No annoying pauses!!! (Yayness!)
    *An actual battle scene (Well, sorta... I'm kind of going to use the dust cloud again, but it'll be animated this time. :/)
    *Lots of little added in bonus neat stuff. It's the stuff I couldn't think of before, but have the room for now!
    *And best of all.... NO CRAPPY SPRITES!!!! Yay! My sprites were lame. :P Sprites are best left to the professionals, and even those don't look so hot blown up like mine were.

    So there ya go. I don't have an estimated completion date yet, but rest assured that I'm working on it every night after I get home from work. Although, I'll be gone all week next week 'cause I'll be on vacation to Minnesota. XD *Does the happy dance* Just to give you an idea of where I am, I'm just before the part where Ash pulls the wheelchair outta nowhere (That part took some time to figure out, too, lol). I won't be posting anything until it's done, though, so don't even ask. (Yeah, like you were gonna anyway, :D)
