    Okay. I have a report to make. I went to the Pokemon Daisuki website and became a member. (Pokemon Daisuki is the Japanese Fanclub website that gives you the password for Walda in Rustboro, among other fun Pokemon games an' stuff =3) Once inside, I went to the area where you are given your password. First off, here is part of a screencap of one of their information pages. This page is showing you what the screen will look like when you enter your password. Notice the Japanese characters. That is Hiragana, and it's not all of them, either. You should also notice that there are more characters on that screen than there is on the one in our American version.

    Japanese Password Entry Screen

    Next, we have a selection of wallpapers. These are what you can choose from as your prize for making the girl smile. You only get one. I've cut and pasted them onto a smaller file, but they're the same size images as the ones they had on their site.

    Wallpapers

    Finally, this is the password they gave me, after I entered my Trainer ID. I highlighted the password part, so it is the white lettering surrounded by black highlight. Notice that it too is in Hiragana. The direct transliteration of these characters is "Zasutanezaeachuuyau". This phrase is gibberish really; it has no Japanese meaning, nor English either. They are merely randomly placed characters.

    My Password

    I tried putting the transliteration into the spaces in my game, but there weren't enough. I also tried matching the placement of the characters from their screen to mine, but that wouldn't work either, as not all of these characters (from my password) are on the sample screen they gave me.

    My conclusion: The Japanese passwording system will not work for the American games. Nintendo of America will have to eventually release their own to the public in order for us to unlock the wallpaper(s).

    Shuko, you didn't need to go through the hassle of becoming a member of Daisuki Club... there are plenty of other generators out there ^_^;

    Still, thanks for proving that the hypothesis I had (that the Japanese code won't work for the English one even if translated) was right :)

    exactly,

    Instead of going through all that trouble just check Serebii.I knew that months ago.

    Aiyaa! I didn't realize that Serebii had already gone into so much detail! 0_o Ah, but it figures they would. 0_0 I had a bunch of people from other forums asking me about it when I became a member at Daisuki, so I just thought people didn't know. ~_~; Sorry for the late news, lol!

    oh well,

    But i'm proud of you.You actually tried something that i can't do i mean i can't read Jap writing.

    But yeah good Job anyways.

    Awwwww...

    I'm gonna email pokemon.com XDXDXD Maybe they'll give out a password ^^
