Backstory: Shrike was born in the year 2052 in Virginia Beach, North Virginia. His family had a history of service in the Marines since their creation during colonial times. Like most children, he enjoyed watching the soldiers and ships go around and dreamed of following in his father's steps and being a Marine. As soon as he was old enough he enlisted into the ranks of the Marines.

He served in the War in Libya as well as defended several countries against Iranian aggression in undeclared wars. It was in the Core he got the callsign 'Shrike' which he adopted in place of his name. He bought himself a new set of equipment from a third party company for better protection.

When the U.S and U.K teamed up in 2077, he was part of the force sent to retake Hong Kong. He has been stationed there under the jurisdiction of the Corps ever since. He has been growing more and more discontent with how The Corps run their operations, but it's better than the Anarchistic rebels.

Personality: On the surface, Shrike appears to be your standard, meat-head, Marine Corps grunt. A seemingly brash disregard to anything in the way of the objective. But that's the surface. Underneath he is a man with a strong sense of honor. Someone who wants to help people and try and do the right things. But there is also a strong sense of duty to the Marines, as well as a want to live up to what his father, and grandfather, and great grandfather were.

If you manage to break through all the hard crusted military gruff, you'll find a kind hearted man who is happy to be around friends and even happier to help others however he can. But you might also find a man scarred by years of war, friends lost, and horrible acts witnessed. Through all he's seen he remains a determined and loyal soldier.

Other: Very much enjoys Cuban Cherry Cigars. Loves all forms of rock over all types of music. Has developed a bond with his rifle. Keeps his real name known to as few people as possible

By the way you may now be a Cadet/Private/Sergeant/Lieutenant/Militia from the start as the scenario as you have just been reassigned from elsewhere when Major Zhu reorganised the Corps in Asia, specifically Hong Kong.

Weapons Grade C Pass is the standard of weaponry Cadets have access to, this contains practice weaponry and a unique stun gun for cadets.
Weapons Grade 1 Pass is the standard of weaponry you have access to, this allows custom weaponry but you wont have access to anything with Laser ammunition or above. This Grade deals only with Ballistic ammunition.

As Criminal, your rescourcefullness is your livelyhood. You can't feed yourself from petty theft. You are going to start out by assaulting a Corps Armoury. As you do this you will advance from FAME 0 to FAME 1. This simply measures how known you are. However advancing fame is a double edged sword, you will be targeted often by Corps but you will grow respect in the underground, giving you likely chance to not have extortiate prices when purchasing BMG (Black Market Goods) and hightens your chances you will be accepted to be in a gang, or even, (if high enough fame) make your own Gang.
