Yeah, you know, the one with his name on it. This thread'll have spoilers if you haven't read up to Volume 26. Just a heads-ups.
So, I'm confused about it, I guess.
I'm pretty sure near the ending of the G/S/C arc, Green (I read the english version, so, I call the girl green. Sue me.) has a bunch of little flashbacks of little her and little Silver. One of which is a picture of her sewing his name into the handkerchief and saying, " I'll call you Silver, because of your eyes," or something to that effect.
BUT.
Then, when Giovanni is doing the whole heroic dad thing with him, he remembers that he had to put Silver's name on all his stuff, the handkerchief included. Also, by the way he says it, " You kept it with you all this time," just seems to me that it's not coincidence, it's the same handkerchief.
He also said, " The name your father gave you," which kind of contradicts the fact that in earlier Green said she named him, basically. I'm willing to brush that one off as coincidence.
So, is it that at the point of the G/S/C arc the writer hadn't thought about it, and it's a slip up, or what? I'm just confused.
