Simple Guide To Make Hacks In 10 Steps By Lnate
hahaha....wait, its not easy.

I've just wrote this simple guide which may help beginners and other people to make their hacks. Read on! may be prove helpful to you. This guide will just help you to beta & alphas. but you can keep reapeating things until you're done.

STEP 0
Don't think of flying super-high or feeling down : You ain't the biggie here, are you? don't try to go high , because flappy bird falls when you take it high , i mean don't think that you are going to make great hacks like Glazed and Light Platinum . those are made by Big group of Biggies. It will only make you quit at one point . Just be yourself and do it. Don't care its bad or good, just do it. Positive thing here is you did it. many people can't even do it and quit. And if you do bad don't feel down or if you're stuck somewhere. community people will help you. that's why its Poke-Community.

STEP 1
Learn a lot of stuff about hacking. : Don't think i'm teaching it. but there are many people on pokecommunity and youtube who post tutorials and teach stuff. check it out . you need to search these things :
1. mapping 2. scripting 3. recoloring 4. tile inserting 5. titlescreen editing 6. ASM (if you can) etc.

STEP 2
Plan it out : hahaha. i'm not joking. nothing goes right without planning. Plan out your hack , like :
Is it different than original games , just some simple tweaks , mega evolution , new pokemon from other generations , fakemon , new characters , new story , physical and special split etc. this is up to you.

STEP 3
Do all da maps. : NO, i don't mean create all the maps of your hack, create the town of player , 2 - 3 routes , 1 city , forest , cave etc. Try to finish only till beta 1. this can be finished within 2-3 days.
1 TIP : I WAS SUPER-MAD AND FRUSTATED OF MAPPING WITH 1 TILE PLACING IN ADVMAP 1.92 . YOU CAN MAP FASTER BY HOLDING CTRL+RIGHT CLICK (HOLD) AND SELECT THE GROUP OF TILES YOU WANNA PLACE. STEP 4
Write all the scripts and codes : Do the scripting, but make backups after finshing any complex script or something like that. You can work like this :
1. Make all the signposts
2. Test
3. Backup
4. Make all the NPCs
5. Test
6. Backup
7. Pokemon-Giving scripts or Professor.
8. Test
9. Backup
10. Wild Pokemon (In AdvMap)
11. Test
12. Backup
13. Trainers and Gym Leaders
14. Test
15. Backup

STEP 5
Edit the titlescreen : Edit your titlescreen . titlescreen is the main screen of the game on startup which will give a new look and is good. You don't want that you planned project pokemon x and at the titlescreen shows Pokemon FireRed or something like that. Do it or get it done by any friend.

STEP 6
Edit the trainer sprites and others : Edit the sprites one by one , test , make backup until all are done. Try to keep 'em not as glitchy as much as you can.

STEP 7
Edit the Pokemon and stats : Edit the data of the pokemon if you want to put pokemon of any other generation excluding 3 or you put fakemon. If you don't alter pokemon, leave this step. IMP : KEEP MAKING BACKUPS!

STEP 8
Test it out completely : Yay! we did it! you made a 1 - 2 Gym beta! that's a huge success for beginner people! now what you have to do is test it out completely and check for any bugs and glitches, try to fix 'em and if you can't warn people about it in your thread.

STEP 9
Publish! : Now that you're done with it , put it on the internet , share it with your friends! don't worry if people don't like it . because you did what they can't , so you're high them 'em. and people may like to work with you on the project so join 'em in the team and make your dreams come true!

This "guide" is functionally useless. This is more of a checklist, and one that isn't that useful and probably shouldn't be followed except for the initial planning stage. It explains nothing, and this user clearly doesn't know how to do some of these steps correctly by him or herself. I'm honestly surprised that this post was even approved, especially with the whoring for subscribers at the end. Very low quality and low effort content that doesn't add anything to the community but tries to exploit it for subscribers anyway.

Also, the font is horrible and makes reading it almost as bad as the actual guide itself.

As someone said before this is more like a checklist than a guide. The things you've said about hacking is common sense to most people. If anything this thread would do better in the Beginner's Lounge.

I'm surprised how this was approved.
