You need to pass the pkmn from ruby or sapphire to emerald usin a game boy and use a DS with the emerald game pak to use the wireless feature and then you can pass pokemon from emerald to ds. In other words is DS to DS and gba/sp to gba/sp

living_in_doubt, pay no attention to the above answer--they're just trying to confuse you. The truth is that you CANNOT use the DS to trade directly between GBA games in any way.

jammi567: For that team, try giving Kyogre Thunder over Waterfall. It alone will go through everyone.

LishaKara: Yes, it keeps moves from Secret Base battles (mine did, anyway). I don't think it keeps moves it gets while still wild, though...

Yeah Sure im going to help a "cheater", ok download VBA (VisualBoy Advanced) if you dont have it. (Just google it)

Then in VBA go Cheats > Cheat List > Then Click The Gameshark Button > Then Input the name and the Code

But ALWAYS put the master code on first.

Because i dont like cheats and cheat devices, you can find your own codes.

I already have visualboy advanced, but the codes were'nt working. thats why i asked.

Then you will probably have the wrong codes, and remember youll need a Master Coe (M) or m on websites

Where can I get a Metal Coat?

As I thought, that girl and that man were there because of my Trainer ID...

The Metal Coat you can find it attached to wild Magnemites, but it's rare.

Please explain to me how this Pokemon works. If you are fighing one in the wild will it pick up the moves you use on it? Does it keep moves learned in a Secret Base battle? If someone could explain, or send me a link to a page which explains, it would be much appreciated. Thanks! 8D

Repost, as it's been about 3 or so pages and my question hasn't been answered. Sorry for starting a thread earlier, DON'T KILL MEEEE!! xD PMing is fine, too.

It would be helpful if you included what Poke you are actually referring to. Is this about Smeargle, Ditto, or Kecleon?

I will assume it is about Smeargle. It is possible that a wild Smeargle will waste its Sketch move while it battles you. The best way to combat that is to quickly catch it or put it to sleep. Otherwise you will have to wait 10 levels until it learns Sketch again, unless you have a Heart Scale that you can reteach it Sketch.

Yes, using Sketch in Secret Bases will allow it to keep the move you sketched. That is still too random though, unless you only have Pokes in a SB with all the same move.

The easiest way to Sketch moves you want on to Smeargle is to do a double battle (in Emerald, Gabby is the perfect choice. Bring Smeargle and a high level Poke with the move you want to Sketch. Your other Poke goes first, and then have Smeargle use Sketch and target your other Poke. Done.

Oh, yeah, I should thought it before !! In a 2vs2...I can teach it everything I want !! *-*

Thanks, you helped me a lot :D

Not used that often, but this is where it goes.

I'd like to point out that he did, indeed, specify Smeargle as the pokemon. It was in the post's title, see right above this message.

Actually, the question came from LishaKara, who is a female. Here is her post again:

Not sure where it says Smeargle there, but hopefully I guess it right and was of some assistance.

I mean, i can get the codes to go on my cheat list, i put them on, but the effect of it isnt working. i tried a code to get to faraway island, but it didnt warp me there, and thats what its supposed to do.

Well, I did that cheat on the VBA and it worked for me, except it didn't "warp" it told me to walk through a door like a PC and Id end up on the island instead of the Poke center. But after you warp to the island you always need to turn the code off.

If you're talking about the in the games for GBA, then you have to press L while you enter ANY building (I think it's L... the gameshark should inform you about these things). If you're talking about the ROM, chances are you also need to hold something down while entering a building. Refer to the Cheat Codes thread for a bit more help, like Shane said.
