3rd Gen Simple Questions

I thought the E-card function was disabled for FRLG...or am I thinking of Emerald?

Does anyone actually know a CONFIRMED AND PROVEN method of changing the Pokemon inside the cave yet? I've heard methods from using Mystery Gift with friends to E-cards, and Nintendo promotions...
 
Why cant I go into mewtwos dungeon? What must I do!
 
to go to the mew2 dungeon u need to beat the elite four lol

Okay, I just got the diploma (Had all 150) and here is what the diploma says:

To get inside the Cerulean Cave/Unknown Dungeon/Mewtwo's Cave, you need to bear the E4, get the National Dex, and capture at elast 100 Pokemon...I think...it's what I've heard anyway...

By machine, he meant the Trading Network Machine on One Island.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just checked on GameFAQs that you had to get the National Dex and fix the Network Trading Machine to gain access. Read the FAQ for information on that. If that doesn't help you, check the Sevii Islands Guide on my site in the FRLG section.
 
yeah sure just follow the sequance of the game and u could go into the dungeon lol

yes its just the elite four and the trading machine
not number of pokemon caught

in a way we're both right but thats not important
i feel that stating the obvious wasnt needed in this situation

To change Pokemn in Altering Cave:

Get Mystery Gift by going to a Questionnaire and typing in:

"Link together for all"

Then go to a Wonder Spot (In Seattle, Minneapolis and Atlanta currently), and download any ticket. The Pokemon in Altering Cave shall now change depending on the last number of your ID number.
 
Mr Cat Dog you're incorrect. I went to Pokemon Rocks Atlanta, and accessed the "Wonder Spot" so people call it. (Just a little box with a lock on it, they wouldn't show me what was inside but told me I would be dissapointed if I saw it anyway)

Anyway.. I still only encounter Zubat in the Altering Cave. If Nintendo plans on having some event to unlock the other Pokemon in the Altering Cave, it definately won't be happening at Pokemon Rocks Atlanta. So it'll be a while before we know about that exactly....
 
If I take my Onix (holding steel coat) from FR and I trade it to my Ruby. He evolves into a Steelix. If I trade the Steelix back to my FR. Is he considered a Pokemon received in a trade, thus getting more exp in battles?
 
nope, the pokemon remembers its original trainer therefore you will not get the extra exp for it,
a very clever move made by nintendo,
otherwise every1 would be getting lv 100's 1.5x faster than they should be ^^
 
i know what is in altering cave! i read in a website thats latias and latios lives in that cave! (thats why theres a rock-stage)

You have got Mystery Gift haven't you? That should work - it's been confirmed by Nintendo, SPP, PPN, Pokefor.tk, nearly every website has it on it... weird :/

Also there are NO Latias/Latios in Altering Cave. *quashes rumour using Quasher-o-Rumourer*
